Publisher's summary

The Godkiller will rise.

Despite his recent victories, Nate Temple’s problems are only just beginning. Although it had been necessary, killing the most infamous of the Norse gods has consequences, and no one knows petty vengeance like the Aesir. Especially with Odin’s legendary spear mysteriously missing.

But Nate has more important things to worry about than a pantheon of angry gods.

Because the God of Mischief has been freed from his imprisonment, and so has his monstrosity of a son - a creature prophesied to play a major role in Ragnarok. With Loki’s masterful abilities at illusion and deception, any of Nate’s acquaintances could be Loki in disguise, so he’s forced to play things close to the chest, retreating away from those he trusts the most.

But with gangs of expert assassins relentlessly hunting Nate for the largest contract fee ever known, the police and FBI starting to take a closer look at Nate Temple and his alleged crimes, his best friend’s kids born with bizarre abilities, and his new Horsemen desperately needing their leader to begin training them for the Omega War...

Now is a terrible time to be alone.

And an even worse time for his people to be without their leader.

Especially when Nate knows his old enemies were actually just the henchmen and that the real masters are still lurking in the shadows - likely even posing as his allies.

The blades of betrayal strike swifter than the first kiss of new love, and the fate of the world is riding on one man’s shoulders....

The Catalyst walks the world.

And no one seems to know exactly what that really means. Except that it’s going to change the future of existence for everyone.

For better or for worse.

Because Nate Temple has changed the rules - the most hated, feared, and respected beings in human history are no longer safe in St. Louis.

Even gods can die....

Love/Hate for Narrator

I have a love/hate for Joel Richards in this series. I'm not sure how he is with other books he has narrated for, so this is me strictly critiquing him based off these books. Sometimes he's great and really gets into character and other times he's so freaking monotoned it literally starts to simultaneously put me to sleep and irritate my ears. This is one of the harder books for me to get through because of it. I gifted the 1st set to my boyfriend and he couldn't get into it because of the narrator. Usually after you get past the first couple chapters Joel loosens up and starts using more inflection in his voice, but this book is a real struggle.

This one is really good

This is more of a cliffhanger. It’s gonna basically drop you flat on your face. But luckily the next book is available. I feel like the last two books have been kind of little mini adventures all small parts of the big adventure but not revealing what that is. If that makes sense. Idk what this is leading up to but there are a million questions hanging again. I hope they don’t just become forgotten. On to the next. If your in this far nothing I can say will have any effect. I was wondering why every time the Kansas City girl rolls into town there are a ton of new characters and things that happened that I should know but don’t. There is another series with “Kally?” I can’t remember her name. But she has her own separate series. They need to make that more easily available on this app. So we can find tied in series and know which is actually next.

audio quality was not good at all

besides the quality of the audio I see you like they wanted you to buy the other books and you miss a lot of the story from this series the first 12 books were a lot better this one seems like they didn't put as much effort as the other ones but overall one through 10 I rated a 7

Nate is my anti hero/ hero of the century.

This book, just like all previous ones was fun! Fast paced and so entertaining. I wish certain parts would move in the direction I want them to, but where would be the fun in that. I’m sure the almost throwing phone or kindle against the wall in outrage, is totally intentional on the authors side. Keep them coming.

Laughed my butt off!

Another fine addition to the Templeverse. I love the twists and turns Shayne takes with this character, and how methodical Nate's parents have been when setting up their son as the Catalyst. You never know where this series is going to go next.
