Meanwhile, trouble is brewing in the village as superstitions simmer and hostility bubbles over towards the Widow Mags's chocolate shop. Caitlyn soon finds herself smothered by conflicting loyalties and hidden agendas—and just when she thinks things can't get worse, clues start pointing to James’s sister as the killer...

What a cozy cliffhanger!

This story was a good read. I have no idea how the author is going to tie up all the loose ends in the next book and I can't wait to find out!

Argh! It’s a continuation!

I knew it would be a continuation before I got the book, but it still hurt when I got to the end. I need to know what happens next!!! This may be the first time with this author that I’ve guessed the big twist at the end. I was so proud of myself. No spoilers though.

One thing I want to slap Kaitlyn for is how pigheaded she can be. Normally, I wouldn’t even think of her that way because she’s the sweetest thing. But her conviction that she’s always right and everyone else is always wrong is getting worse. If she was always right, I could look past this, but she’s usually wrong until the very end. And that’s how it should be otherwise the book would be rather short because they’d catch the bad guy immediately. She’s really bad in this book though. She gets an idea, is convinced of it, refuses to listen to anyone else, and then finds out she’s wrong, but doesn’t learn to be more open to other people’s ideas. She gets mad when people don’t believe her right off the bat, but then gets mad herself when they show the same behavior. She expects everyone to take her word as gold, but doesn’t even give them the benefit of the doubt when they present an idea. Kaitlyn’s a wonderful person and I really like her, but this is definitely her biggest flaw.

Loved it

H.Y. Hanna has created another great addition to her Bewitched by Chocolate Mysteries series. All the characters we’ve grown to know and love are present.
Pearl Hewitt, as always gave a stellar performance as she breathed life into the storyline and gave each character their own distinct voice.
I look forward to the next installment in this wonderful series.

Did not want it to end.

I loved the story and series. It’s a magical Agatha Christie who done it meets a modern Pride and Prejudice.

Thrilling excitement

I very much enjoy this book from the Bewitched by chocolate series. It keeps you guessing for what will happens next. Once you think you have a clue there is a twist that proves your hypothesis wrong.

Nibs and bran make their appearances which is nice to see their interactions with the other characters. Caitlyn keeps learning spells and tries to get answers about her family. Evie keeps on trying to impress her grandma.

I cannot wait to read the last book. It took me a day and a half to finish it. I was very immersed in the plot. I can’t wait to see what happens to Caitlyn, James, widow mags and the other characters.

Disclosure: A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
