Publisher's summary

Gaston Bellevue has been single for 100 years. He's a bat-shifting vampire who has amassed a fortune, runs a B and B for supes, and is living his best death in the Big Easy.

When his drunken bat collides with a windshield, and he finds himself locked in a cage at an animal sanctuary, death as he knows it is about to turn batshift crazy.

Maeve O'Meara is the last bat shifter left in New Orleans, or so she thinks. When an adorable vampire bat is delivered to the Wings of Love Sanctuary in the middle of the night, she expects to find the creature there the next day. Instead, she finds tall, pale, and handsome Gaston in its place.

Maeve is terrified of vampires, but something about Gaston is so familiar. She can't help but be drawn to the mysterious man.

Until she's charged with a murder he probably committed. Or did he?

A fun shifter romance

The seventh book of the New Orleans Nocturnes can be read as standalone, but there are so many cameos from prior characters, it really enhances the enjoyment of seeing them, and keeping them straight, if they are familiar.
This book carries on in the same vein as others in the series, with drama and misunderstandings, along with a hefty dose of humor, and a happily-ever-after, but storyline is unique from the others. I like how each couple has their individual problems, so even seven books in, they're all different stories rather than the same one over and over.
Hollie Jackson returned with another excellent performance of the narrative and bringing the characters to life.

Another Great Addition to the Series!

This is book 7 in the New Orleans Nocturnes Series, a Paranormal Romantic Comedy. I love this series, and this is another great addition to the series! Gaston and Maeve's story is original, funny, steamy, and entertaining, filled with danger, and twists and turns. I liked the mystery and the humor in the story. Hollie Jackson did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I need more! #StoryOrigin
