Publisher's summary

Master Sergeant Zane Gannon loves nothing more than being a part of his Special Forces unit and kicking ass, but above everything, he values his friendship with Isaac. Sure, they argue and snipe at each other, but it's all in good fun. Until it isn't. Now, Isaac is pulling away and something Zane has buried for two decades is resurfacing.

Staff Sergeant Isaac Thorne has loved Zane Gannon from a distance for three years, and he was doing just fine concealing this fact until the colonel decided to pair them together a year ago. Now, it's becoming increasingly difficult to hide his feelings, so he takes to avoiding Zane. So what? The man is infuriating and straight, and lately, he's acting very strange.

The fire ignites between Zane and Isaac when things come to a boiling point on a mission and the locker room gets heated. Infinity takes on several new recruits. BFFs are not who they seem, and a mission goes horribly wrong when a group of homegrown terrorists rear their ugly heads.

Hold on to your helmets for a bumpy ride as these two soldiers battle it out.

Contains mature themes.

Great addition of a good series.

Zane who has always thought he was straight working closely with Issac who isn’t. Become besties in combatting the bad guys. Slow burn. Bi awakening. Kept me interested in listening to the end. I can’t wait until the next story is released.

enjoyed it

📖 Story comment: good pace, likeable characters, interesting plot.

I listened to all 8 books in the Code of Honor series back to back and loved every one of them. My review covers the whole series in general because there is a story arc that is built on in each book and leads into the next series (Operation Justice Force) so it's all a good fit.

The series is well developed, each story is action packed, has good pace and likeable characters. I like my books a little longer, but overall I was happy with the series and will listen to it again.

I feel like I missed something with this one - going from "we need to talk" to making out when there was so much uncertainty didn't sit right with me. I would have liked the relationship between Zane and Isaac to be a better developed and further explored.

🎧 Narrator comment: Troy Duran was a good choice of narrator for this series and he did a great job with the narration. Each character had his own voice and I had no problem distinguishing characters from each other and his rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the characters to life. My only negative comment would be: the secondary characters (ie: other team members) voices were often inconsistent across the series - listening to each book separately I didn't really notice, but when listened to back to back the inconsistency was noticeable.

MOST ANTICIPATED!!!

The Dylan and Issac shenanigans have had me in a chokehold for a while… I have loved all the 6 books so far but this was the one I was waiting on the most.

Ended better than it started

I have loved every book in this series. I was SO looking forward to Isaac and Zanes story. I was incredibly disappointed though. Isaac was such an a*s. I know that was expected for the first part, but it drug on WAY to long. Thankfully it all came around in the end. Narration was great.
