Worth buying!

Let me start off by saying... Kick-Ass series! Joel Leslie is phenomenal. His narration, delivery, speed changes along with voice changes. You can't even compare it to someone elses, because there's no one else to compare it with. He's that good. If I were a teacher giving this a grade by percentage. Philip Alces comes in second with a 80% Mr. Leslie got a 110%. With bonuses and all. Mr Alces is no slouch. That 80% is well earned. This series will leave you wanting more. Mind you I had nothing to compare this to. It being my first audible book ever. So I'm coming back to review this after I've listened to other audibles. So I would have something to compare it to. My warning here is... If you have never ever listened to an audiobook. Don't start here. Get a little bit under your belt before you start, because this audiobook will ruin every other one, cuz it's that good! My first audible buy! And yes I'm not telling you about the story because I'll ruin it for you. Lay your head back, close your eyes and enjoy. See for yourself

love.

all the books are worth the read. even just once but 3 out of these 4 stories I've listen to multiple times. specially when I'm in between stories & can't find another book or just want to listen to them again. love the first first just as much or little more then the 3rd book in boxed set. the 4th is almost just as good as the first & 3rd book. the second book is definitely good but I like the other 3 much more. I love the next 3 book boxed set as well. the last 2 books with Simon & his boyfriend is also great but I hate they changed the narrator. I'm not a fan of John solo but love the other narrator in those books. absolutely love these 2 narrator's.

What a series...

Snow Falling: The writing in the story was riveting and kept me wanting to come back for more. Intrigue and mayhem mixed with a bit of love...what a mafia story. Snow and Christopher are an amazing pair and I enjoyed listening to their journey of discovery.

Hug it Out: The second in the Haven Hart series...interesting to say the least. I enjoyed listening to the story and getting entangled in the story of Teddy and Riordan...the hugging thing was hard for me to wrap my brain around. At first, I spent so much time thinking about the reality of a job but in this world who knows. As the story progressed and the intrigue of Riordan's work and the addition of other characters, not to mention how it tied in with Snow and Christopher...I liked it, but...

A Dangerous Dance: Third in the series...at first, I did not think I was going to like this book. But not sure what happened, but I loved the journey to Mace and Bill. The intrigue and mystery of the story and all the action, and then Mace and Bill coming to terms with their entanglement...damn good book. I could not stop listening, causing the next day to be very long but well worth the journey.

From the Ashes: Learning the history about Black put a lot of things into perspective. Also, realizing that Quill, though young, had been through a lot as well. Though there is an age gap between the two, they fit, and you could tell as the story was presented. As always, the story includes intrigue, a bit of mystery, and a love story in the making. The ending was very symbolic, and I was a bit verklempt. I really enjoyed this journey, the 4th part of the Haven Hart Universe series. I am looking forward to seeing where we go next...

Adore!!

It started with snow and Chris for me. Then I found out the rest of the series is M/M as well and I am stoked I listened from the beginning because I love this series so much!

It’s not just spice and romance. It’s action, it’s slow burn and betrayal! So good!

Joel Leslie is absolutely fantastic!!

Love this series

I listened to all of Reese knightly’a books and I went looking for something similar. Davidson king has all the romance, suspense and great story lines similar to Reese knightly. Thoroughly enjoying the series.

Better than most.

These stories explore love between men in the darker side of life. You see how they became as they are and understand the unconditional love.

Great character development. Excellent narration.

Incredible Series!

Snow Falling:
Snow & Christopher

Immediately hooked. Simple as that. Christopher and Snow’s chemistry..mm chefs kiss. Loved them. Snow’s whole personality is absolutely amazing, not gonna lie thought he was gonna be one of those obnoxious MCs but nope I absolutely adore him. Add in the whole mafia romance bizz and boom bam baby I’m sold. This was a fantastic read with a great plot and fun to boot.
2.7/🌶️🌶️

Hug it Out:
Teddy & Riordan

Just as good as the first book. I was immediately sucked into the story and couldn’t stop. I immediately loved Teddy and felt for Riordan even though I wanted to shake him a bit at time. All that aside I enjoyed every second and not to mention getting to delve deeper into their world, more characters, more mayhem and more love.

____

A Dangerous Dance:
Bill & Mace

Yessssssss I was so looking forward to Bill and Mace’s story! First off I absolutely adore the both of them and their chemistry is magnetic! Love, love, loved it! I can’t get enough of the banter, and who doesn’t love enemies to lovers vibes these two were giving off. Yes please! Yeah they definitely had some stuff to work out on top of the issues they had on their own but it all made for another interesting story that I couldn’t put down.
2.8/🌶️🌶️

From These Ashes:
Black & Quill

Okay…so as soon as Quill first met Black I knew I wanted their story, desperately. Black, this stone cold assassin that definitely has some inner demons meet Quill this bubbly, ray of sunshine. I go absolutely feral for a good grumpyxsunshine trope and just their first encounter was sounding all my alarm bells. Let me tell you this did not disappoint! I love how with every story you don’t just get surface level with the characters just to rush through a plot but you get to know your MCs making everything about the story just that more interesting. Can’t get enough of this series!

Story=Good / Narration both Good/Bad

The story is good so far, will update once I finish the series.

Joel Leslie is one of my favorite narrators, he is so good with his acting/different voices he gets 5/5 stars. Philip Alces whistles on the "s" of words, which was grating and made the experience not that great during his chapters. It would have been better to just have Leslie narrate the whole thing since his voice changing is so good. I hate harsh reviews, but man, the whistle. Without that Alces would have been okay, so maybe I will find that he remedies this habit/voice as the story progresses. One can hope. Sorry Alces, Leslie takes the cake.
