About this listen

Trina Lee would sell her own mother’s house out from under her if it meant securing a sale, no joke. Her reputation as a ruthless deal closer and her record sales year in Boston’s luxury property market should’ve landed her Realtor of the Year, so when the award goes to new girl rival Kendall Yates, Trina is left speechless. And, okay, turned on.

Kendall made more enemies than friends the night of her big win, but she couldn’t care less. She’s the best, and she has the obnoxious glass paperweight to prove it. This is the edge she needs to escape the shadow of her family’s reputation. When her boss accepts a friendly bet that she can close the holy grail of property deals, she’s not about to fold for anyone. Especially not to overly cocky and annoyingly beautiful Trina. Even if it breaks her heart.

Fiona's books never disappoint! Originally read "Bet Against Me" in print and then gave the audiobook a chance. The narrator was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat. I may have cried a little...well, actually a lot! Let's not forget...it was hot!

Always amazing!

I read the hard copy a couple weeks ago because I couldn’t wait for the audio. I was hoping Keira Grace was attached to the audio to be honest. She completely knocked Not Since You out of the park. I’m not complaining about Ms. Sternenberg narration, just felt this would of been an amazing read by Ms. Grace because of all the wonderful characters. Maybe she will be picked for Bet The Farm. Or even Lori Prince.. both are amazing at bringing the pages to life.

Another amazing story by Fiona Riley..

This book is classic Fiona Riley. A great storyline, diverse characters, and the trademark steamy sex scenes. I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

Great story!

Why did I give this review the title I did to introduce this review? Well, after listening to the entire story, I thought back, without giving anything away, that the story could have been cut by two thirds if one of the major characters said those four words. Perhaps you won’t agree, but I will continue by saying that I am glad she did not👍.
I enjoyed the entire story as the plot roller coasters with humor, passion, anger, disappointment and elation, and above all love (after all it is a romance lolol) toward an ending that made sense.
While the major characters were very multi-dimensional, many of the minor characters were kind of two dimensional. Normally that is a negative but in this case it helps to move things along.
In addition, the story is very passionate and often very sexy, but not gratuitous.
What’s better than being in love with the two main characters who can drive you to distraction as their personalities clash and eventually meld into a plausible ending.
BTW, by the time you finish listening, you will realize why I placed a red🌹in the introduction.

I hate my father😉🌹

Trina is a shitty person, she is extremely toxic and is definitely a bully. Kendall let's her constantly treat her like shit and never stands up for herself. I wanted to like this one because I like Fiona Riley but this brought up a lot of trauma for me and I couldn't get past these characters immaturity and how unhealthy this relationship is.

The issue itself wasn't really the story

Cute romance with a healthy competition thrown in. I'm looking forward to the remaining books in the series.

Great book

Melissa's narration is on point, she always does a great job.
But the story was so-so, I liked the main characters. and they had some great chemistry. But the other parts of the story, I just didn't care for. The "big" twist, and how the characters behaved felt kind of silly. The ending also felt kind of rushed, or too simple, didn't really feel like it had much substance.

Didn't really captivate me.

Not the best, but a good one. Well written a little too long in some places. Narration was good as always.

Good book

This is a wonderful and delicate story of give and take and the realization of what’s truly important Love.

Fiona Riley gives you all that you need in each character. She fallows through with an enduring story and doesn’t give you a typical formula for a relationship love story of Love Turmoil return she gives the reader so much more and it’s never how you expect.

Wonderful

I have been looking forward to this release and I did enjoy it for the most part. The only distracting feature I found was trying to distinguish the two main characters when they were speaking. The voices at many times were extremely similar which caused me to have to lose some focus on the story. Overall, I enjoyed it and it did derive some emotion in me once it started developing.

Good read
