About this listen

Jo is done playing by their rules. They want her dead for no other reason than her genetics. Determined to defy them and faced with the wild world of the Between, she throws herself into learning how to control her new and expanding powers and how to fight.

The only thing she can’t fight is her feelings for Caius. As things heat up, they discover any relationship between them could have far reaching consequences.

The journey through the Between will test Jo in ways she never thought possible. Secrets are revealed, bonds are made and torn apart, and a few words from a fairy change everything.

love this

I absolutely am in love with this series. Jo and Caius are amazing together. The storyline will draw you in and you just can't stop, you need to know more.
There are twists and turns that leave you breathless.
And the narrators? Oh my goodness they do an amazing job. I just need more from Caius

Exciting second book in the series

This second book in the series is just as good, if not better than the first. As the title suggests the theme of betrayal runs through various threads in the story. It is a unique, thrilling and sometimes heart wrenching story laced with action, battles, deceit, romance and prophecy. As the war prophesied by the Morrigan seems to be drawing nearer and nearer, Joe, Caius and their allies continue to try to find a solution to the Lost, while at the same time having to fight for their own survival. The romance between Jo and Caius deepens in this story and there are a few surprises and revelations that often create more complications than solutions. I loved how Joe has begun to fully embrace her power and how new aspects of it are being slowly revealed. I also love the cat and can’t wait to see if she has a bigger role to play in the next book. The narrators of the audiobook, Suzanne T. Fortin & Zachary Johnson, did a great job for bringing the story to life and giving the characters individual voices that suits the characters well. This is a fast action story with characters you easily become attached and an ending that leaves you dying for the next in the series.

on the edge of my set

I thought the first book of this series was good. I have a feeling the books will only get better. I love how Jo is so strong even in her weakest moments. Her strength to just to keep fighting even when she is about to pass out. I don't want to give anything away. I can't wait to find out what will happen next.

Yes audible, I fully enjoyed it.

I’m not sure how you unpack everything that happened in book two other than to say, I enjoyed every minute of the story and performances from both narrators, and I highly recommend it.

A.D. has created a world you will wish you could visit in more than just your mind. I absolutely loved the inbetween world Caius and Jo spent most of the book. If someone could just add that as I place I could visit, maybe at Universal or something, I would be happy. I loved all the descriptions, creatures, plants and “people” who lived there.
I loved the bound that grew between Caius and Jo and their group and I loved Jo’s cat the most.

This story had me yelling, laughing, crying and wanting more. I can’t wait to dive into book 3.

Amazing Job Zachary and Suzanne. You guys brought Audra’s story to life in a way that made me feel more connected to it. Your insights into the characters shown through in your performance. I absolutely loved it.

loved this

I really like alot of books but don't rate them 5 stars because I reserve those for the few true gems I stumble upon. This is one of those. The title of betrayed is a theme woven throughout the book- betrayal from past loves, family, and within casts. Alot more of the prophecy comes to play in this book and quite a few surprises. The merry gang continues their adventure for the second key and they come across all sorts of shuffles and fights. I love Ameese (not sure if thats the right spelling) and decided I want one. And a Caius. With the bond fully formed and the second key in hand I cant wait to see where the next adventures will lead.

AMAZING!!

Every aspect of this book was amazing! I loved the first book but this one was even better! There was action, suspense, romance this book has it all. The author does an amazing job bringing this story to life. I like the characters and how they are progressing in the series. There are so many new characters and a cat added in this series that are great additions to the group and each add a new dynamic! The narrators again did an amazing job! They bring the characters to life and I really enjoy listening to their voices! I can’t wait to see where this series goes!

as good as the first

Book 2 was just as exciting as book 1. I loved the growth of the relationship between Jo and Caius. You see a softer side of them both. The world building was fantastic and completely interesting. We get to hear the full version of the prophecy and it dropped big hints as to what as to come. Then the dreams Jo is having confirmed my assumptions and the journey solidified it. I'm not normally a fan of that trope but it was done really well. Looking forward to the next one and getting to know all the crew better.

I’m speechless! So so good!

This book is even better than the first one. I’m not sure how that is possible because the first one was amazing. This has become one of my favorite series! I’m so excited to see where the story will go. There are so many great characters and I have really enjoyed immersing myself in this unique world. The betrayal caught me by surprise and kept me in the edge of my seat.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life. I love the few quotes in the end of each chapter. It gives a little insight into Caius.

Here you will find adventure, suspense, action, and romance. The character development is well done and the story is told in a way that grabs your attention from beginning to finish. I also loved the conclusion of this book! Caius quote was so funny.
