Exactly what the target audience needs to hear.

Sean knocked it out of the park in this one, perfect sequel to Rising Above. After this review I will be rereading this. Better Broken absolutely nails the interstruggles the "broken" contemplate in their minds. The contents spoke to me as if I was having a conversation with Sean, as if he was trying to coach me through a present obstacle in life. If you gained anything from his previous work, this book will compound onto it. Well done Buck.

The story, knowledge, and grit it took

Lot of information I heard but no way I can dissect it all it’s meaning. Very uplifting to have listened to Sean Rogers story and have been wanting to for months.

A must read/listen!

This audio book was so much more helpful than I expected. Sean has a great way of relating to the listener by using anecdotes that are easily relatable. Not only does he provide theoretical examples, but also practical examples through his life experiences. If you are looking for a self-help book that is inspiring, motivating but also gives you a blue print upon which to build your own success, this is the book for you.

I really loved the ending. The quotes were great too.

I like that the author kept showing the struggle as a blessing. I’ve heard this message before but his story and the way he told really hit home with me.

Easy listen, uplifting message

A great reminder that adversity in life can serve as a blessing and opportunity to grow. I especially liked the chapter on identifying your triggers

A universal message.

I've followed Buck for a few years now while aspiring to enter into a career in the Military. Initially, I only followed him for basic "how to" information. Once he started to share his personal experiences I realized I related to his story a lot. Buck wasn't some D1 monster athlete that came from good parents then ventured onto becoming a Green Beret. He was the opposite. A broken person, filled with fear. He isn't afraid to admit he is scared. He just discovered that there is power in being scared, and doing it anyway. This is a message that anyone can learn from.

Excellent message! Hidden Takeaways

I thought Sean Rogers did a good job at delivering his points across for those people who he wants to hear this story. I hope they pick up this book. There were some very good tips. People who have had a difficult time in their lives tend to work harder to get somewhere and to make a success of their lives. I am not sure it is all about poverty...but those who struggle for a normal family life, with a mother and a father who truly love you and uphold you, guide you to make you the best You. It is true without that, life is so much harder, and add the poverty to that...it makes life almost untenable.
I will say as far as the continual points being made with the pre-recorded voiced for emphasis, took away from the storyline and the points themselves, especially because the sound quality and the quickness of the reading was uneven. I understand the why...however, less words with clarity would have delivered the same effect.
