About this listen

If you saw his face, you’d have a death wish, too.

My life sucks. More accurately, I suck- blood.

I woke up on a cold slab in a morgue two weeks ago, with no memories and a new drinking habit that seriously cramps my ability to make friends.

Now, I’m hunting for answers in Sin City about my past and who I was, but someone else is hunting me.

When Death himself comes to collect me, I find myself facing the most magnificent, terrifying being imaginable. Who knew the Grim Reaper wore a tailored suit and ran the most exclusive hotel on the Vegas strip?

He wants to hold me prisoner? Fine, I will rattle the cage and make his life a living hell until I get my freedom.

And I absolutely cannot, under any circumstances, let him know his hand is wrapped around my soul.

Bitten by Death is book one of three in a slow burn, action-packed, steamy romance featuring a cheeky, tough heroine and a dark hero.

Start listening now if you like irreverent, chain-yanking vampires and a hot-as-hell version of Death!

It was ok

I read the whole series. Interesting plot with some good scenes but overall it wasn’t the best. The main characters had unique personalities that didn’t really seem to match their ages or backstories. I didn’t find them believable or relatable and actually cringed a few times. The voice actors did a decent job but several times it seemed as though they had just finished taking a drink or maybe had food in their mouths while trying to read the story. So all in all, if you need something to pass the time this series would be ok but if you’re looking for something to truly get lost you may want to keep looking.

Slow burn- good story but could have been written better!

Good story; but main character is annoying and pathetic. Storyline is weak in points. Just “meh” about the whole book in general.

Narrator: please, please stop breathing into the mic and pausing in awkward places. You sound like you just finished walking up stairs after every sentence. Otherwise, you have a very pleasant voice!

Humor Involved

I loved listening to this book as it captured every bit of what a person goes through day in and day out through life. It is of mystical but intriguing and full of humor.

Luved everything about this book!

This read from the very first chapter grabs you and doesn’t let go. Viv is a strong MC.. not whiny and annoying and I absolutely loved her.. and Grim... Hott Hott Hott!

The story flowed beautifully and kep you needing and wanting to know more. The twist when finding who’s who.. left me on the edge of my seat and thinking OH WOW... it all just came together and showed the bigger picture and it was well worth the wait!

I want more of this duo and I can’t wait to hear about the next release!!

Good story!

This is an interesting story. It doesn't follow the typical vampire storyline. I really like Grimm aa a character. The narrators do a great job telling the story. I'm looking forward to more books from Roberds.

Gripping and witty!

Love love love!!! The storyline is gripping, written in a way that draws you in and puts you right on the Vegas strip in the thick of it all. The characters are full of personality, cheeky, witty, sexy, stoic, and bad ass!

what a twist.

I found this book on booktok I believe, didn't think much of it cause who wouldn't want to pet the dog even if your not supposed to or it could kill you. once I actually started it I really got invested in it, and quickly got the other 2 books in the series. I can't wait to see what will happen.

Good start to a series

I enjoyed the start so much and was grateful this didn’t end with such an intense cliffhanger and yet it’s open for so much more. It was so much fun and I am so happy to have gotten to listen to this story by a new to me author. It was a very different type of vampire story and I loved it so much! The narrator made the story even better by bringing these characters to life.

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover

Rating: 5 of 5
Story: I seriously loved this story right from the very beginning. I'm going to be honest, I almost passed on it due to the cover. I didn't think it would be a book I'd enjoy very much. I'm happy to say that I was very wrong. It's a very big lesson in "don't judge a book by its cover. I've learned it well. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series.
Characters: One of our main characters is Vivian. She wakes up in a morgue with no memory of her life or how she died. She only knew that she woke up a vampire. Our other main character is Grimm. He has discovered that there are vampires in the world. Something that hasn't happened in a long time. They cannot exist. He decides to go and destroy the one he knows of. Vivian.
Critiques: I'm not a fan of the cover.
Narration: Great narration. I give it a full 5 stars.
Final Thoughts: I really am glad that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. I really loved both of the characters. I also loved how full of comedy the book had. There were so many quirky passages that I enjoyed very much that make it easy for me to say that I recommend this fully.
