About this listen

Somewhere in an impoverished desert shantytown there's a life devoid of all things human. Yet from this loveless, hopeless, and altogether barren existence comes fiery hope and unexpected love. As brutal as a Tarantino movie and as tender as a sure-fire chick flick, Bizarro Love drags the listener through the loneliness and ugliness of the character's world. Amidst an utter absence of humanity comes the greatest of human conditions, love and hope. The results are characters to care about and journey with in their oddball road trip into redemption.

NAME AND DESCRIPTION DO NOT DO THIS STORY JUSTICE!

Would you consider the audio edition of Bizarro Love to be better than the print version?

Isn't it always? well at least 95% of the time?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bizarro Love?

The Ending...when he finally finds Rocky again!

Have you listened to any of Roberto Scarlato’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have, and Roberto is good to listen to....I like his voice!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book is very deep, it broke my heart in several places....this is sad story..

Any additional comments?

** I was given a free copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review **

I searched the net for other reviews of this book, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!! No reviews AT ALL!!
And after listening to this book, I think I know why....the packaging is very misleading, the synopsis is very deceiving....This is a wonderful, soulful and sad story about a forgotten person...I mean part 1 is named ambivalent...this poor guy doesn't care if he lives or dies, doesn't care that his parents are in a bad accident and die, he lives in a poor town, goes to school just basically for something to do, and to eat....He doesn't even have a name....He doesn't really even give a damn, until he starts to explore the highway he lives off of..and sees that there is more out there....he opens himself up to reading, and real food...he learns how to beg and survive....then he meets a girl named Rocky...and she changes his world...he finally learn how to be with someone else...to bathe, new clothes....friendship and even feels love..

This book needs to be listened too...well worth a listen..people give it a chance...I was completely engrossed in this story...It was interesting!

Bad writing

If you make it past chapter 3, you are a better person than I. Not at all what I expected
