Publisher's summary

Sometimes what your life is missing is an eccentric group of older ladies to take you under their wing...

When Rae Sutton’s mama passes away and leaves her the house where she grew up, Rae can’t imagine how the little old place might restore her broken life. Mourning the recent loss of her marriage, she takes the house and settles back into her tiny hometown with her fourteen-year-old daughter, Molly Margaret, and their overweight dog.

There she’s embraced by her mother’s close-knit circle of friends, the Third Thursday ladies. Though almost half their age and far less confident of positive outcomes, Rae joins their ministry-slash-book-club-slash-gossip circle and allows the women to speak wry honesty and witty humor into her tired heart. As a new career and a new romance bring their own complications, Rae relies on the unlikely family she’s found and begins to wonder if her future holds more hope than she ever could have imagined.

“Wise, witty, and full of Southern charm, Bless Your Heart, Rae Sutton is as refreshing as a tall glass of sweet tea on a hot summer day!” —Denise Hunter, bestselling author of the Riverbend Romances

Loved it!

I loved the third Thursday ministry meetings. The characters personalities meshed well. Had some laugh out loud moments with heartfelt real life relatable moments intertwined as well. Perfect easy listening. Hope to see it in a movie someday!!

Great book!

I loved this book! I laughed and cried. I have listened to Susannah's previous books that were based on her life. This was my first experience with her fiction, and it was fabulous! I am of similar age to the author and main character in this book, and I really loved all of the references to our childhood, as well as this stage of life.

Just ok

It’s Christmas, so I’m rounding up to 3 stars. Not my cup of tea. Nothing is wrong with it. It’s just not for me.

A wonderful faith-filled story

I loved the story and the narrator. The story was performed in a subtle, understated way. This is a faith based story, so the Bible, Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are not only mentioned, but the most important characters of the story. There’s a lot of good lessons. Keep an open mind and heart.

Terrible narration

This book had some good moments and would probably have had more if the narrator had not been so dreadful. It almost made me stop listening, but I did like the story itself.

Cried and laughed throughout the story

This book deeply touched my heart. I laughed and cried …sometimes in the same chapter. The narrator sounded like a neighbor telling me a tale -she was very relatable. I’m looking forward to finding similar books!

Very Good Book

This book very so good. So good that I hope there will be a movie. I just lost my mom and this book helped me so must.
The girl reading the story What kind of annoying with her old lady voices every time I was listening to my book my husband had to leave the room because he hated her voice. But the book was so good that I overlooked her annoying voice.

Boring

Boring story with mediocre narration, the narrator just seemed to make a boring story worse.
