Publisher's summary

Librarian Minnie Hamilton spreads the joy of reading throughout Chilson, Michigan, with her bookmobile, but she doesn't ride alone. Her rescue cat, Eddie, and a group of volunteers are always on board to deliver cheer - until one of her helpers gets checked out for good....

When Minnie loses a grant that was supposed to keep the bookmobile running, she's worried her pet project could come to its final page. But she's determined to keep her patrons - and Eddie's fans - happy and well-read. She just needs her boss, Stephen to see things her way, and make sure he doesn't see Eddie. The library director doesn't exactly know about the bookmobile's furry co-pilot.

But when a volunteer dies on the bookmobile's route, Minnie finds her traveling library in an even more precarious position. Although the death was originally ruled a hunting accident, a growing stack of clues is pointing towards murder. It's up to Minnie and Eddie to find the killer, and fast - before the best chapter of her life comes to a messy close....

Book 3

My favorite cozy mystery series.

Borrowed Crime is the third book in the "A Bookmobile Cat Mystery"

This one made me anxious. A man gets killed volunteering on the bookmobile and he may not have been the intended target. Now Minnie future at the library and on the bookmobile are at jeopardy.

I adore Minnie. I like how she treats people. I strive to be more like Minnie. And Eddie to the rescue! Eddie makes me love on my cat more. He is still a wonderful duo with Minnie.

An enjoyable listen - typical cozy mystery

An enjoyable read/listen.
I took away a star because the constant reference to a "single" cat hair was tedious. (Also, there is no way you can be a cat owner and get out of the house with only a single cat hair)
I have now read the first 3 in the series. I will revisit the bookmobile at a later date.
Listened to the audio version at 1.5 speed and it was enjoyable. I find the normal speed is just way too slow on audiobooks.

A little corny, but...

Laurie Cass crafted an enjoyable third installment in The Bookmobile Cat series. It was a little corny, but still a good listen. I’ve already downloaded book 4. I highly recommend this book/audiobook to cozy mystery fans and animal lovers.

borrowed crime bk3

Enjoying this series immensely. Love the human traits Eddie has, although, as an owner of 13 cats -they do have human tendencies if you pay attention. Kudos Laurie Cass

Great Storyline!!! Laurie Cass is amazing

I enjoyed this story and the entire collection. Minnie is just like one of us with struggles in life, dealing with limited income and the ups and downs of everyday life along with her faithful companion Eddie

Loved the cat.

Entirely toooo drawn out and boring with ENDLESS meaningless details. Just get on story! Only redeeming quality were short anecdotes about the the cat.
