Coming soon from Heatherly Bell....
A grumpy v. sunshine novel
When I discover I'm the descendent of the first licensed female pilot in California, there's only one thing to do, right? Yes! Take flying lessons, of course. It must be in my blood. Except the grumpy former Air Force pilot who's taken over his late father's flight school under duress doesn't seem thrilled to see me.
Maybe that's because I spilled hot coffee all over his crotch in one of my "I love Lucy" moments.
So far he claims I'm responsible for his aching jaw (bar fight, don't ask) and the spilled coffee. He's not sure he can trust me around heavy machinery. Probably not, but if Stone wants to rescue his later father's flight school he needs students.
What do I need? To say goodbye to my good girl image, for one. And secondly, it's time to break every one of my rules.
For fans of Lucy Score, Christina Lauren and Katherine Center.
(Fully revised and previously published by Harlequin in 2017)

Kimberly Austin is our story teller and she takes on the small town of Fortune Valley. From the men to the women, she finds the voice that works for each character, gives them the perfect voice and creates that feeling of coming home. I loved her baby voice!! This is a wonderful performance and enjoyable listen.
Enjoyable small town romance!

Emily Parker is a rule and list maker. If an item does not meet her rule’s criteria, she turns away from it. She’s also the dependable one in her family. The one that makes sure they’re all taken care of, many times being taken advantage of.
When she finds out that she might be the descendent of the first female pilot in California, Emily decides that she’ going to get her pilot’s license and show the town what she is capable of.
Stone McAllister , an Air Force pilot in town to settle his father’s home and business, meets Emily by accident and pays the price. It seems their meetings are less than stellar, but somehow, he’s driven to get to know her.
Little did either expect that her pilot training teacher would be Stone.
The attraction is evident, but nothing permanent will come of it. Knowing there was an expiration date when Stone left to go back to his job, they decide to live in the moment.
While the plot was engaging the story was much more than a plot. It’s a story about family, responsibilities, taking a leap of faith, finding love when least expected, and letting go of a rigid lifestyle. It’s also a reminder that HOME is not a place but the person that makes one feel safe, happy and special.
Truly, home is where the heart is.
