About this listen

Sexuality and sexual health are taboo topics of conversation in American culture, and many people avoid discussing their sex lives with their physician, and often, their partners. Given the silence surrounding sexuality, most people don’t realize how widespread some sexual struggles are, nor do they have an appreciation for the integral role of sexuality in their overall health and wellbeing.

In Breaking the Silence, Moshe Kedan, MD, provides guidance to men and women on how to navigate the at times difficult discussions around common sexual hardships. Dr. Kedan provides demonstrative examples taken from couples he has worked with over the course of his career and reveals the ways breaking the silence surrounding sexuality and sexual health can help couples and individuals lead healthier, more satisfied lives.

I started to listen to this book, and instantly felt that it was not in MY interest as a woman to listen any longer. first story involves a woman, who visits the author of this book at his primary care office - talks about how her desire has lessened, and he finished the story with the fact MEN need sex to stay faithful basically. I thought, ok , next part will be more woman focused. well, it was a man, with Ed, who was being shamed by his wife for it. no thank you, I thought this book would be about how to communicate better, not a book that makes women feel at fault instantly!

Male centric - female shaming immediately!
