About this listen

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn is back with a hilarious new rom-com series.

Sometimes the wedding of the century calls for desperate measures.

And sometimes those desperate measures are to pretend the person you hate most is actually your boyfriend.

After years of working her tail off at her event-planning business, Maggie Mitchell is ready for a vacation. With nothing on her mind but R & R, she’s enjoying the warm weather of Bora Bora when in saunters Brody McFadden, her brother’s best friend and also her sworn enemy. Thanks to years of tension between the two—kicked off by a make-out session at her brother’s wedding that ended horribly—Maggie has sworn to stay away from the man. That is, until she finds out he’s in Bora Bora for his boss’s daughter’s wedding, hoping to use the trip to win a real future at the company.

Maggie promised herself she wouldn’t even think of work on the island, but as word spreads about the “wedding of the century” taking place in the midst of her vacation, she realizes offering her services as a bridesmaid and planner could bring her business to the next level. The only catch? She needs to pose as Brody’s girlfriend to get the job…while letting him stay in her peaceful bungalow.

Tensions rise, irritation flairs, and despite years’ worth of bickering behind closed doors, Maggie can’t quite squash the sparks building between her and her new fake boyfriend, especially when she learns the real reason their first kiss was cut short. But as the wedding day draws closer and everything starts to go wrong, it just might be Brody who sends Maggie’s business crashing down—and her heart along with it.

Best summer vacation read!

Loved this book!! I enjoyed every minute of this book, even nearly running late for appointments because I couldn’t stop listening. Meghan Quinn’s story is well written, and very funny - I would laugh or say out loud, “Oh, no!” Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon voice Brody and Maggie with humanness and emotions that helped drive the narrative forward. They are two of the most talented narrators of romance audiobooks.

Another fantastic book book by Meghan Quinn! This book should be on everyone’s beach read this summer, especially since it’s set on an island resort.

Hilarious!

The sexual TENSION between Maggie & Brodie is delicious, crackling with chemistry and waiting for the perfect moment to combust. I loved every bit of their story. Prepare to be fully invested in this enemies to lovers, fake relationship, brothers best friend romance that slow burned into a swoony real relationship. Erin Mallon & Jason Clarke do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

Don't sleep on this book!

Well, she's done it again!
Meghan, This is by far my favorite book of yours that I've had the pleasure of reading. It had me laughing and swooning from the beginning to end. It balanced humor with heart and I was here for it!

Bridesmaid for Hire was consumed within 24 hours. The enemies to lovers, one bed, fake dating, the angst, the witty banter, all of it, I was sucked in! Brody is hands down my new book boyfriend. Love me a cinnamon roll. 😉 The build-up of the characters and the story makes the book come alive, like a movie. The scenes Brody ends up in (chapter 8, IYKYK) had me howling and Maggie is such a strong MFC putting herself out there, makes you root for them. The characters are so relatable, from Maggie and Hattie's friendship, to Brody and his bromance with Gary, we all have that one friend we can correlate to.

I'm an audiobook girl through and through, and let me tell you, Erin Mallon and Jason Clark absolutely killed it and their duet narration. Despite being more expensive and taking longer to produce, the duet format is easily my favorite way to listen to audiobooks, so thank you for recording it this way.

If this book is on your TBR, move it to the top of the list. If it's not on your list, it should be! Megan, the queen of rom-coms, in my opinion, writes them like no one else can and this book proves it!

Outrageous and funny and THE BEST narration

April showers bring May flowers. Or does it bring us to Bora Bora where Meghan Quinn gives us some over the top fun with some great banter with a brother's best friend that is soooo off limits?

Bridesmaid For Hire is a spin off of sorts from the Almond Bay series where we get to meet Brody and Maggie and see how they come together. From the prologue alone, I was curious what could bring the two characters back together after the moment they had that did not go over well. Cue a trip to Bora Bora where Brody is there to wow his boss and Maggie is there to take some time off, relax and meet a guy in a speedo. But when she finds out that someone she wants to work with in the wedding industry is there, she will do anything to prove she is worthy. Even pretend to be the girlfriend of Brody so they can both come out on top.

I absolutely loved Maggie and the way she took hold of each and every situation. She was poised and in control and everyone loved her. She had an easiness about her and was the perfect match to Brody that was anything but calm. He was anxious, nervous and could not catch a break the ENTIRE time on the trip. He just continuously failed and it cracked me up each and every time. I liked that these two had a history and how they each decided to hide how they felt about one another until things came to a head. And when they finally spoke their truths, watch out. Ms Quinn knows how to give us awkward comedy, but she also gives some darn good explicit bedroom scenes and I was here for it! The banter, the chemistry and the hilarious hijinks were all played out well for the storyline.

Now, let's talk about the audiobook because I always say that Meghan Quinn's books are made for audio. And Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon absolutely proved that point times a million. Jason Clarke and his deep gravelly voice was perfect for Brody in every way. From his anxious self, to his bedroom voice, to his screeching because of Mother Nature, he had me in stitches AND hot and bothered. And then there's Erin Mallon that IS comedy. She captured the friendly and off the cuff remarks that Maggie was known for and really brought her character to life. These two made an already great story even better.

I loved the characters in this book and the way everyone came together to find some sort of happiness. Not only for Maggie and Brody, but for some side characters that I'm super excited to see in some future books (crossing fingers for 2 brothers in particular). If you're in the mood for some wedding romcom that has some great standout comedy scenes along with some spice so hot you'll need to fan yourself, definitely give this one a shot And if you're a Meghan Quinn fan, you will love the way she connects this book and its characters to past books.

ANOTHER BRILLIANT WORK OF ART

Meghan Quinn does it AGAIN. 👏👏👏 I was laughing the entire time. I love the humor Meghan is able to incorporate while still making the characters feel tangible and real. So so good. Also, I hope she never stops doing the audio books in a duet format because it’s PHENOMENAL.

What a great balance of humor and fun! I laughed so hard and out loud! I thought it was going to be cringe, but she did an awesome job making it fun and su freaking hilarious! Alpha(ish) male protective of his girl and strong and witty FMC. Good level of spice, nothing to crazy but enough. Great lighthearted read. Will try this author again!

This was the funniest, laugh out loud book that I have read in ages!

I think I’ve read everything that Mejgan has written, but she has truly outdone herself with this book. What a joy. Yeah it’s got your typical tropes, but with a twist❤️❤️❤️❤️
