About this listen

You ever have one of those really terrible days at work?

You know, where the maid of honor accuses the bride of cheating on the groom with the best man AND the groom’s father?

No? Welp....

Welcome to life as a wedding planner for the rich and entitled of Manhattan. I’ve seen it all - from the nastiest bridezilla to the most overindulged billionaire.

And Evan is the worst.

Tall, dark, and handsome, he has a ridiculously ripped body under his formal suit and runs a massive hedgefund that’s actively making the world a worse place.

I don’t even feel sorry for him when he walks away from the alter in a daze.

Well, maybe a little bit.

Enough that I now have a billionaire holed up in my teeny tiny apartment.

I regret it immediately.

My violently antisocial cat has welcomed him like a long lost brother, Evan’s half-naked six-foot-five frame is sprawled across my bed, and he’s eaten all of my lasagna.

A day and an epic screaming match later, he’s out on the street, and I have my high-stress, lonely life back.

But I can’t worry about a billionaire’s hurt feelings.

After all I have a business to run and bridezillas to corral.

But when I go to meet with my latest bride, guess-who is there smirking at me.

Evan’s decided he’s ready to move on from the cheating witch.

Who does he want as he rebound?

Me.

But I am immune to Evan’s obnoxious displays of wealth and his piercing blue eyes.

These panties are staying firmly on.

Mostly.

Except for that one time.

But it’s not like anyone’s falling in love right? Right?!

This stand-alone, full length romantic comedy has no cliffhangers, but does have a swoon-worthy HEA! This book is steamy! The highs are hilarious, and the lows are as deep as the voice of the guy you fantasize about!

Fun story & Great Narrators

This book reminded me why I enjoy listening to romance books on Audible. While I will always love reading romance, listening to someone else vocalize the highs and lows of a story is so much fun. This was my first time hearing Narrators Devon Grace & Patrick Zeller and I thought they were pretty good. Devon always seemed to hit the right pitch and make sarcastic sound just perfect. Patrick made the harried frustration sound right and deep and flirty sound great. Also, I loved how both Narrators were able to switch between male and female tone believably.

Now as to the story it was fantastic!! A slow burn romance centered around a wedding planning company, Weddings in the City, the owner Ivy, the Bridezillas that make up the elite of New York City, and Evan. Oh man! Poor Evan had his wedding broken up on the day of, at the moment of, by a maid of honor, who had been cheated on by his fiancée and her boyfriend. When all the bad news came out, Evan walked away from the altar just a little crushed. No one could find him until Ivy got into her car later that evening and looked in her rearview mirror. With no money, no cell, Evan begged to stay with Ivy for the night and that began the love affair. This story was just full of fun and a few bumps and was great in it’s narration. Oh, and there’s an epilogue!! Be still my heart!! 😊

Sweet and Funny

Listening to this book always makes me smile. The characters feel so real and I just want to go to the little down and meet everyone. The narrators were great and easy to listen to.

Bridezillas and Billionaires

The latest from Alina Jacobs, Bridezillas and Billionaires is a rom-com which brings Evan and Ivy together in the craziest way.

She is a wedding planner who Evan blames when he finds out his fiance has been cheating on him. He goes from hiding out at Ivy's apartment to leaving to deciding he's going to pursue her.

Ivy is not my favorite of Alina's heroines, but I still found the story entertaining and fun to read. It was a different take than I have seen in other romances with wedding planners, which I liked. There are appearances by some familiar faces, too.

There's lots of humor, fun, and I thought the narrators did an excellent job!

Some weddings are insane!

I love this story. It was entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable. I spent a good portion of the book laughing. There were plenty of feels. The characters were definitely interesting and some of them were just so out there. I was surprised.

There were so many things that I loved about this story. Mrs. Russo and her friends cracked me up. All of Ivy's friends were awesome and I need to know women like them right now! Evan and Ivy were awesome together even when they were fighting. Evan's dad and Ivy's mom should totally hook up and then disappear in the Bermuda Triangle. Sebastian was a wonderful friend to Evan. Mika was a great sister. I loved Evan and Ivy's happy ever after although I do wish there was another epilogue further out.

Getting to listen to this audiobook was enjoyable and entertaining even when I wanted to smack some of the characters. The narrators were easy to listen to and had great voices. I recommend reading OR listening to this book as both experiences are worth it!
