About this listen

Justice will be served.

Years of success has made renowned professor Roman Anderson one of the most influential law experts in the country. But behind his well-mannered character awaits a prideful hedonist whose questionable relations with women are often whispered but never spoken about outright.

At the height of his success, Anderson is invited to a weekend retreat at a remote hotel with the Hollywood actors set to star in a new movie based on his novel. While Anderson is living the dream, he’s about to discover his weekend escape is anything but innocent.

When a young PR agent by the name of Amy Rogers accuses him of rape, the media is quick to jump on the new high-profile case. Anderson pleads his innocence, but the evidence is stacked against him. As the days go by and the noose around his neck tightens, Anderson hires aging local Detective Harry Mitchel in a desperate attempt to save himself.

But as Mitchel delves into the case, he digs up more buried skeletons than anyone expected. One thing is crystal clear: The truth will be brought to light. The question is—which truth would that ultimately be?

Broken Justice is a gripping novel with a twist on pride and arrogance, morality, and punishment in the age of the #metoo era. Perfect for fans of James Chandler, Robert Bailey, and John Grisham.

fast-paced and entertaining

Story is a lot of fun and rolls right along. there were a couple of things that puzzled me but in the end I still went with five stars. One of them was that if the main character was a law professor how would he not know a lot of the legal ins and outs that he seemed puzzled by? Narration was simple clear and easy to understand. He never tried to do different voices for each character and that's okay.
