Publisher's summary

Bryce Matthews doesn't do the whole nice boyfriend thing. Chocolates and flowers - girls can forget all that. And he certainly doesn't care about the gossip and rumors that follow him at school and around town. If anything, the talk amuses him.

Bryce isn't lacking in confidence. He knows himself, and he knows his limits. One of those hard limits is Madison Issac. Bryce can never have her, and he's perfectly fine with that. Sometimes the fantasy is better than the reality anyway.

Madison Issac thought she was a pretty good judge of character. But she's surprised at how gentle and comforting resident bad-boy and next-door neighbor Bryce Matthews is when he finds her crying in the park.

Maybe there's more to Bryce than people think? Madison begins to wonder. Can a guy like Bryce ever change his ways? Can a girl like Madison really be into a guy like Bryce? With hearts and reputations on the line, this kind of love can be scandalous.

High school mean girl done to death

Well written good character development. But it’s just the same old mean girl. Tries to have shocking twists but poorly done so not so shocking. Angry outbursts that just don’t make sense.
Narrators were good.

great read

amazing story but..... I wish it was a couple more chapters or at least another book about these two to let us know how things turned out at college for them.

Finished Bryce Kyle and graham in less then two weeks!

LOVE this series. Some of the mushiness is a bit much but the rest makes up for it! Recommend for sure!

whiplash

This is a fun book. Exhausting with the back and fourth. I swooned, laughed, yelled at the character's. I'm glad I listened to this book. Enjoy!

Left a little to be desired

This book was a ok listen. Decent characters, interesting story. Male narrator was good. Character development left a lot to be desired, there wasn’t a good wrap up to the turmoil in the main characters’ relationship.

I don’t believe they truly loved each other.

Warning: Spoilers!!

I finished this book really disappointed and frustrated! They spend the end of the book ignoring and separated from each other. Then all of a sudden in the last chapter it gets fixed! No epilogue or decent conclusion to them at all.
To much push and pull and no actual satisfying dialog between the two, really at all through out the whole book. No character development at all. She’s judgmental and has a negative attitude towards him most of the time and never stops to consider how her own actions and words are hurting him. Yet he’s always chasing after her to be together. I can’t stand this heroine. He’s no angel either but he does everything he can to make her happy and support her. I never actually get his “bad boy” status because he’s not a true bad boy. He just wants to keep others out of trouble so he takes the blame for them. I’m annoyed to have wasted the time on this book. Also, the two characters the next book is about never redeemed themselves enough in this story for me to even care about their story. I never leave reviews but this one annoyed so badly that I couldn’t help myself.

HS Teenage ❤ love

Sweet girl who has a crush and the guy & his friend are like associates that act like enemies. Teenage drama... jealousy, awkwardness and pains of not fitting in.
Not enough Heat 🔥 for me. Teens are way more sexually active & knowledgeable these days. the story is good.

Too much drama

Just let them have some romance for more than a day at a time. Jeez. Could have been a really good story but they never even get a chance to have time together longer than a day each time they connect. Then it’s weeks or months apart for some stupid reason when then both freakin know they love each other. Talk about stressful!!!

sweet romance

so I really enjoyed this book. I loved rice he was set out to be the bad guy, but he really really wasn't he just really liked helping everybody and taking the fall for people to protect them. he it's really weird how the story started because because Madison loved Graham which is Bryce's best friend first, but things did not turn out the way they thought they were going to be turning out, meaning another person came in place which was Sarah which was Madison's cousin, and she was just evil. so she started stealing everything from madison, and that included Grant so there was a lot of drama within the first couple few chapters. with all of this Bryce and Madison started getting close and then you find out some other things in this whole relationship I guess you would call it. but it is a true relationship the way the story was written you have your ups and your Downs it's first love, don't know what to do, want to feel what it's supposed to be as a relationship. I know that sounds a little confusing but the story builds up, it teaches you what first loves are. with all of that it was a very good book it was written very well, you stayed involved in the whole story, you loved all the characters in the story, because you do need every character to make this story complete. there are a couple more books in the series, and it's about other characters that were in this book. I like Tyler this was written and the audible was very good I loved who spoke for both characters and I will probably listen to the rest of the audibles in this series only because of how well the first one turned out.

Cute and Quick

I will not lie this book was a great listen. This book had so much potential, all we got though was arguing, naivety, betrayal, and a slight let down. Do not get me wrong; I would recommend this book to others, but it would be to a younger audience. this is something I would have read when I was in my mid teens. It is a cute love story, I also enjoyed that it also pointed out some of the struggles of finding out what you want to do after high school, along with wanting to head off with friends, and doing what your family wants you to do. The author had so much potential, she was rushing a great work of art. like ***SPOILER DO NOT READ AHEAD IF HAVE NOT READ IT*** the time jumps 5 months to apologize, tell us what happens in that 5 months span, what was he doing, what was he thinking, was he analyzing what he needed to apologize for, or agonizing over how/when to apologize? I just mainly wanted more detail, In my opinion the detail brings it to life for the reader/listener. this book could have easily been more chapters and a longer listen, I thought since it was 7 and a half hours it would have had more detail, and a better more drawn out ending. After all their arguing, insecurities, etc, all that aside I did enjoy this listen. and am ready for book 2.
