It was a good story. The main weakness is that this very much is a slice of life with only a little bit of conflict. This is a common problem with some light novels, but the characters manage to help the story stay interesting. We will have to see how later books change and add conflict/drama. I shall look forward to seeing that.

A relaxing listen

An easy listen, slice of life story. Not a lot of conflict, but that’s honestly a nice change of pace in my opinion. It’s often really jarring to have a new narrator in a series, but Ray is fairly consistent which can’t have been easy! The switch wasn’t as disruptive as I feared. An easy, enjoyable listen. Looking forward to the next installment!

I appreciated the reveal of what what's happening back on earth tothe people left behind though the mention of divine protection being no longer provided was kinda ominous

Awesome

Both are great. It was a match meant to be. For those that like light novels it’s something’s a nice thing to get a good narrator. Though to get one that can match the Mc that well is rather like finding a diamond in the rough.

Story and narrator

It's a nice slice of life story with slimes. Now that we are past the first volume the speech pattern is better though I liked Jon Vertullo performed better. I think Jon did a better job with the distinction between female voice and character distinction. It is a little hard for me at times to figure out who is talking with Ray as the narrative especially between the other two beastkin female characters. Ray isn't bad but I just preferred Jon better.

Love the Anime and Book

The plot is alright thought the new reader uses the same voice making it hard to realize who is talking sometime, I also feel he's using less energy than the previous reader

good story

watched the anime, love it, rewatch it every so often. Thoroughly enjoy the Audiobook and learning all the things the anime cut out and sad it was missing as the anime was great but knowing it could be even better makes me sad. haha the reader is good though a few character voice choices personally don't feel right after watching the anime but that shouldn't be a true reflection of the readers abilities. i know that it is more of a personal preference.

Great Series

I have been following this series for over 2 years now. From the light novel to the anime adaptation, now as an audio books I never get bored of this story no matter which medium they come from.

Just as good as the light novel
