Publisher's summary

Cat Latimer found her author career and her love of writing in a paranormal academy series, so when the writers retreat gets a group of all paranormal authors, she's over the moon. However, a local professor is causing waves, since she doesn't think the retreat or the authors it hosts are literary enough to be sponsored by Covington College anymore. And she'd taken her complaints to the Dean of the English department.

Cat knows she'll have to fight for Covington's sponsorship, but this week, she's going to enjoy her retreat and the quirky guests. Shauna's put together a coz-play party for the guests in conjunction with a local writers group that meets at the local bookstore. However, the night is cut short when they find the literary professor dressed up as a zombie in the barn. But the professor isn't just playing dead. Can Cat solve the mystery before she's framed in the investigation and Uncle Pete has to arrest her for the murder?

Love this series but this wasn't the best book

I think this has been a very good series with a great setting, characters and dialog. I like how you brought South Cove from "Tourist Trap Mystery" into the "Cat Latimer Mystery". But this book just seems to be a quick trip and not a full story. Hopefully the next book will be more.

CSE Cooney, narrator, did an excellent job. You have become the voice for "A Cat latimer Mystery" series.

Zombie Killer

Kat and Shauna host a Halloween party and several English department professors sho up. One of whom is trying to shut down the sponsorship of the Writers Retreat. When the professor shows up dead in the barn the hunt is on for the killer with Kat being a prime suspect. Can’t wait for the next one.

not a mystery

I was very disappointed in this book. there is very little meat and a whole bunch of fluff. it's a 'how to write' lecture. Ms Cahoon must have run out of ideas or had a deadline. skip this one

Missing Pieces

It felt as if I missed an entire book in the series. When did her fiance decide to go on a mission and call off the wedding? The ending was weak as well.

Questions

Without spoilers hopefully...but is this the end of this series &/or characters? If it is, then I'm somewhat disappointed after the investment of my time. Not in the series overall, just the questions I'm left with now about the main characters. This is why I've only given 3 stars.
