About this listen

From A. J. Tata, “Chasing the Lion is a taut thriller that delivers blistering action and mind-blowing tension. Garrett Sinclair is a powerhouse of a hero, and Chasing the Lion is exactly the type of smart and propulsive tale that will keep readers turning pages and anxiously awaiting future installments.” (Mark Greaney, number-one New York Times best-selling author)

As a child, Dariush Parizad survived Iran’s Islamic uprising, becoming a symbol of the revolution. Named The Lion of Tabas by the ayatollah himself, Parizad rose through his nation’s military to become a lethal soldier and brilliant tactical commander. Now a general, he leads Quds Force, an extremist terrorist organization targeting America and its western allies.

The United States has just uncovered a biochemical weapon, Demon Rain, developed by Parizad’s group. A psychoactive viral agent, it attacks a person’s nervous system and renders them susceptible to mind control. Parizad plans to unleash Demon Rain within Washington D.C. on Inauguration Day during the swearing in of the country’s first female president to spread fear and chaos, turning civilians into weapons.

Assigned to stop the terrorist strike are Army Lieutenant General Garrett Sinclair and his Joint Special Operations Command team. Across the Middle East, Europe, and the US, Sinclair pursues Parizad only to discover a deeper conspiracy - involving a disturbing revelation that his wife may not have died from cancer but was murdered as part of a plot against the president-elect. Separated from his teammates and unsure of who he can trust, Sinclair is on a mission not only to save his country, but to avenge his family against Parizad with extreme prejudice....

Critic reviews

"Full of energy and snapping with action, Chasing the Lion is Tony Tata at his best. A timely read that's right on target." (Marc Cameron, New York Times best-selling author)

With his keen political eye and sharply drawn characters, Tata has created a gripping, white-knuckle ride that will leave the reader looking for cover." (Simon Gervais, former RCMP counterterrorism officer and best-selling author of Hunt Them Down)

Really fast paced, fun thriller. Great insight. Can’t wait for the rest of the series

Very Interesting Plot

Story started OK and then went to hell. A 3-Star General special forces operator. Really? AJ Tata made Brigadier General in the US Army and like most 1-Stars thinks he was screwed for not making at least 3-Stars. That was probably due to a West Point cabal.

Worst yet is the hypocrisy. Tata criticizes the CIA and others in the past for taking in German scientists and others for mind control, yet he and other senior military commanders DID NOTHING to combat the flow of IEDs from Iran that killed or maimed 40% of our Soldiers in Iraq. Ever gone to the VA and seen soldiers missing ine, two, three, even all four limbs????

Quit letting your NY editors controls your plots.

Interesting story despite the bad gun info (Mag lights on rifles? Seriously hasn't been done since the 90's. I mean, no one uses Mag lights anymore, like ever). Despite the bad technical info throughout the story, it was interesting. Not great or even that entertaining but interesting.

Three Star General Door Kicker? Nope.
