Rafe
I really, really don't like my neighbor.
We've lived next door to each other for three years, and we couldn't be more opposite. I'm a quiet, introverted ghoul with a small friend group and a love of true crime podcasts and tabletop role-playing games. Dan Ewen is a party boy with an endless string of "guests" who likes to blare country music all night. He's loud, inconsiderate, messy, loud, a total dudebro… did I mention loud?
When I start my new job as IT manager at Goliaths of Wrestling, an underground supernatural wrestling organization, I quickly discover that my terrible dullahan neighbor is now my new colleague. Great.
I still don't like him. It doesn't change anything. I can avoid him at work. But when I spot him one night through his living room window doing something that is utterly shocking, obscene, really weird… I find myself thinking about my annoying neighbor. A lot.
All the time, actually.
Oh no.
Dan
That neighbor of mine is a cute, surly ghoul whose pretty green eyes and angry scowl just make me want to rile him up even more.
We've never really been buddies, despite living side by side for three years. But when he starts working at Goliaths as our IT manager, helping to bring us into a new digital age, our lives begin to become a bit more entangled.
Mainly because he starts watching me each night while I… relax. So I make sure to give him a good show through my living room window.
I've always assumed Rafe Hare is straight, but it quickly becomes clear that I might be wrong. And when I propose a fantastic new way for us to get… ahem… friendlier, he's as all-in as I am.
Which means I get to show him just how weird it can get with a dullahan. And I can't wait.

The spice is top notch and Rafe and Dan are two idiots who stumble their way into a relationship. I can’t wait for the next book.
Michael Ferraiuolo delivers a top notch performance as always.

Like the previous books, I was instantly hooked on Rafe and Dan’s story. I was a bit apprehensive after reading that Dan was a terrible neighbor but that didn’t last long once the story started. Dan is a very fun and happy guy. He rarely gets angry or holds onto grudges. He goes through life trying to just have fun and working at Goliaths is perfect for him. Rafe is a homebody who likes things a certain way and can hold a grudge. He has been grumping about Dan since shortly after he moved in over three years ago. While I can understand Rafe being angry about some of Dan’s actions as a neighbor, I also liked that he was finally able to see past those instances and get to know the real Dan.
Rafe and Dan have a slow building relationship because at first Rafe thinks he is straight. Rafe has to work through realizing he is bisexual and then realizing he has the hots for the neighbor he says he hates. Their relationship starts as a neighbor with benefits but as you can imagine, it doesn’t stay that way. While Rafe starts falling quickly, Dan takes a little while to realize that he wants to be monogamous and be in an official relationship with Rafe. I quite enjoyed seeing Dan come to this realization.
This book also has some big changes for the Goliaths. They start streaming their shows on a pay-per view system and are raking in the numbers and money. But we also see tension building between some of the wrestlers that has to be resolved with a wrestlers court, which was all very interesting. But the biggest thing was Frank and Beans. These two little creeps have been causing mayhem since they were introduced but they really go all out in this one. We also learn about their past and to be honest, I was not surprised by some of the revelations, but they were hilarious.
Overall, this was another fantastic Goliaths book that was filled with lots of love and laughter. I loved Rafe and Dan’s story so much and couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book!
