Wonderful

Hilarious and tons of fun, the banter is perfect and makes for a lovely listen, even if that means an awkward day at work laughing to myself.

Cracks you up

This is a delightful book and will crack you up out of no where with the fun they make of each other while talking. You learn some of the history of Scotland and about whisky. I confess I have tried a bunch of different Scottish whisky's. Thanks for the laughs. I recommend this book for a great laugh out loud listen.

Thank you for writing this book!!!

Well done!!! I don't think I've ever laughed so much while reading (or in my case listening to) a book. What a wonderful combination of history, comedy and special glimpses into the making of Outlander. Of course I chose to read this book because I'm an Outlander fan. However, I think this book stands alone as a great read. I couldn't help but wonder if Sam and Graham really hated each other or not with all the jabs. Listening to the audiobook makes it even better because you get to hear Sam and Graham's voices telling the story. Even Diana Gabaldon made me laugh with almost every sentence in her introduction. At the time of this review Men in Kilts has not aired yet, but I'm looking forward to it!! I hope both the book and the show do well so we can experience more adventures with these great guys!!

Surpassed expectations!

I'm a big fan of the Outlander series - books and TV show. I expected to enjoy this book, and was not disappointed. Sam and Graham are world class actors, so it is not surprising that their narrative gifts are spot on. But the humor of the dialogue was an unexpected treat. This book gets funnier with multiple listens. Well done gents! I anxiously await the release of Men in Kilts!

If you love Outlander, you are in for a treat!

The friendship between these two puts a smile on my face, especially when they are playing pranks and calling each other made up names! Sir Ginger of the Nuts was my favorite! (well done GrayDog!) Some great history as well. I can not wait for a follow up to this book!

The best buddy road trip story, ever.

It was everything I expected it to be and more. I laughed out loud, cried, cheered, and got a history lesson to boot.
I can't wait to see the show Men in Kilts, and I hope there will be a continuation of the wonderful journey.

Historical accounts w/personal anecdotes & humor

I listened while recovering from COVID-19. it gave me something special to look forward to each morning as I pushed myself from bed to battle another day. Hearing Sam's and Graham's recollection of the various clan battles and warfare helped me realize that we all have various battles to fight and digging into my stubborn Scottish genes was just what I needed. Their perfect mixture of historical accounts blended with their own personal anecdotes added the perfect amount of interest and humor. Their witty banter made me think of my husband his family as they tell stories and jest with one another. I recently discovered Outlander in September 2020 and have been swiftly reading the books (nearing the end of 5) to get caught up. I have enjoyed listening to Clanlands as an audiobook in conjunction (not simultaneously, though) with reading book 5. I am excitedly looking forward to the TV show Men in Kilts in February.
