Editorial reviews

Brad Worthley’s theme here is coaching; coaching as opposed to teaching or counseling. Worthey’s version of coaching involves communication in its most effective form, getting people to listen to you and listening to them. He describes all of the minutiae of interaction, be it with co-workers, employees, bosses, or personal relationships.

Listening to Worthley it’s clear that he practices his own philosophy. He is an engaging speaker without ever making the listener feel talked down to. He is not a teacher; he is a coach and as such he looks to lead you into "deepening your own learning".

Publisher's summary

This powerful one-hour seminar will teach you how to communicate and motivate other people to change. This is a chance to become more persuasive and have more influence in your organization, while at the same time gaining people's respect.

Good for starters and pros

Where does Coaching Your Employees, Peers, and Supervisors rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I liked it from among other audiobooks of coaching I have recently consulted, in particular because the author creates good context when narrating his experiences

What was one of the most memorable moments of Coaching Your Employees, Peers, and Supervisors?

It presents in a clear, concise yet interesting way the essentials of what coaching truly is

Any additional comments?

I recommend this book if you are a starter in coaching because it clearly presents actionable items for your practice, I think also professionals with more experience will find it useful to refresh the basics of coaching.

Outstanding read!

I have learned a lot from this material. I would love to learn more ways to up-coach bad management. I will attempt to apply the techniques the author provided.

The benefits of coaching

This author has a great ability to translate the benefits of coaching and the value it offers, however I was looking for ways to bring coaching into my discussions and the types of questions I would ask to influence and persuade, to manage my manager's behaviours and support my colleagues during difficult times. Maybe a slight misinterpretation of the title.

Underwhelming. More like self-promotion.

This felt more like the tips to actually become a coach (and very general and basic tips) than one to use with your employees/peers/supervisors. His stories didn't really gave context to the title of the audiobook. This felt more like a project done to get more clients who may have heard this audiobook to realize they themselves need a coach. At least it was 50 minutes only.
