4 unbelievable plays

These plays all had a theme of parent/child relationships. There was always some disconnect with a parent and some parent figure filling in the gap of that disconnect. I found myself laughing, sure, but more often than not, I teared up during these deeply touching stories.
Erin has a gift of taking a story to the edge of appropriate and creating a believable space where we can connect with her characters. These plays will stay with you after you listen to them and they will make you think. I HIGHLY recommend them, just don't expect some light and fluffy hilarity. Expect to feel all of the emotions.
Deeply Touching

Each of the Four the Scripted Stories are cast with some of the most super talented narrators. The set includes Skin Hungry, Come Find Me, Branched, and The Net Will Appear. These plays are tons of fun, and generate so many laughs, but at the same time present the listener with some really deep issues that will really make you stop and think!
If you are an Erin Mallon fan and are looking to score some awesome, witty, odd, and twisted audio plays all for one credit, than I highly recommend Comedies of Consequences! I always look forward to more from one of my favorite authors and narrators, Erin Mallon!
A one of a kind listening experience!

The four plays, Skin Hungry, Come Find Me, Branched, and The Net Will Appear, could not be more diverse in content. But they are all weaved together by their ability to really challenge convention and take the listeners on the most unexpected of journeys.
I love how Erin writes such unconventional material, and then finds narrators that really breath life into her characters.
What a quirky, fascinating collection of plays

Skin Hungry is a romantic comedy with an unusual age gap. It also brings up real life issues, like loneliness after a spouse or parent dies, as well as problems with intimacy.
Come Find Me is a ghost story that will freak your freak!
Branched is a family dramedy with marital issues, an adorable little boy, a non-typical daughter and the cringy, quirky Mom at the center of it all.
The Net Will Appear is a sweet story about a friendship between a little girl and an old man that will tug at your heartstrings.
The narration and sound effects are amazing in these stories! Erin’s talent as a writer and narrator are showcased throughout.
You don’t want to miss all this twisted goodness in one set! Zachary Webber as Rowan and Joe Arden as Ben are worth the credit alone! And be sure to stay tuned for the hilarious bloopers on Branched!

The narrators were fabulous. Zach and Delphi were so authentic as an age-gap couple in Skin Hungry.
Branched, I cannot say enough about Branched. First, of course, it's funny, but it's the absurdity or oddities of this family's situation that had me laughing and left me a tad stunned. Aside from mom's unique pregnancy, I could see a family living this way. I loved Joe Arden as the little boy, Erin was scary good as the mom, and Carly and Lance were excellent in bringing the bumbling naivety to their roles.
I enjoyed Come Find Me. However, I need to listen a couple more times to let things marinate. haha
The Net Will Appear was endearing, which I find a bit odd saying. Haha. Richard Masur and Matilda Lawler were spectacular as Bernard and Rory, and I adored and loved their interactions esp. as their encounters progressed.
I love Erin as a narrator, but she is a force to be reckoned with as a writer. Her plays are comedic gold.
Brilliantly funny plays

Skin Hungry
This play is funny, emotional and touched on some very hard situations. I think that is what I love about Erin's plays, they all have serious situations and hard topics but she writes them with so much humor. I have no sense of humor but Erin always makes me laugh. The narration of this play was perfect. Delphie & Zachary and then Sarah & PJ all really played so well off of each other. You can feel the connections but also hear the fun they had recording this play.
Come Find Me
This is my favorite of the 4 plays, This is a play based on a psychiatrist named Henry Cotton who was known for his unorthodox ways of curing his patients. I thought Erin Mallon's play was more humorous than creepy and I laughed a ton while listening. The play was witty and Erin's talent as a playwright really shines through. The best things about audio plays for me is that not only do we get to experience the writing but the performances are always so incredible. The performers in this play were all exceptional and I have to give a little extra shout out to Therese Plummer, she was perfect as Margot and really did an amazing job the mood swings and the comedy.
Branched
My face hurt when I finished this one from smiling and the only word that came to mind is weird, but in a really good way! Then after speaking to a friend she explained it better by saying this was Brilliant yet peculiar in true Erin fashion. Go into this with expectations of laughing at the absurd characters and creative writing. Also the bloopers at the end are hilarious! The narration of this audio play is PERFECT! All 4 of the narrators were awesome but I have to say Joe Arden stole the show as a 5 year old Ben and Erin was Brilliant as his mother.
The Net Will Appear
Bernard and Rory are the type of characters you can't help but fall in love with. The kinda grumpy old man and the very talkative and unfiltered pre-teen girl. They are such an unlikely pair that really do help each other so much more than they even realize. As always with Erin's Audio Play's the storyline is so funny with the satire feel but with a deep and important meaning. I love the play but I also loved the actors so much, I feel like this play was written with them in mind because the casting was just that perfect!
If you haven't checked out an Erin Mallon Audio Play yet...You really should!

Skin Hungry:
Skin Hungry is funny, witty and full of emotion. I laughed out loud many times during the story. But it has heart too. Although it was only about an hour and 15 minutes, it’s well rounded.
Come Find Me:
I loved the setting of the story. It’s really outside of the norm box and Erin Mallon did such an amazing job at crafting the story and the lines. The ending has me like: Whattttttt???? 🤯 This is one you’re not going to want to miss.
Branched:
Seriously, how does Erin think of these plays? This one had me cracking up the whole time. And it also made me think. What’s real? What’s fake? It’s a witty play based in NYC that kept me listening to the very last second. It’s one that leaves you thinking at the end about just how weird the world can be. But also how accepting and funny it can be. This play is the whole package.
Erin always picks the perfect narrator for each character. I honestly had no idea Joe Arden was the voice of the young son until the end with the bloopers.
The Net Will Appear:
This audioplay was such a fun listen. I loved the unexpected friendship between 9 year old Rory and 75 year old Bernard. Rory is a witty, chatty and very smart child who throws off Bernard with her quick wit and her intelligence. Bernard has been homebound too long due to a sick wife and the friendship he develops with the vibrant kid across the street is what they both need. Rory and Bernard’s banter is classic and had me laughing so hard. Per the norm, Erin leaves you laughing but also thinking about the play overall. All the laughs and feels are in this audioplay.
4 amazing plays!!
