About this listen

Ty Scott has spent most of his life trying to keep his best friend, Declan, strictly in the friend zone. It hasn’t been easy, especially sharing a condo with him for six years. But having an unattainable straight best friend in his life is better than losing that friendship altogether.

At 26, Declan Andrews is settled in his life. He’s been a Navy SEAL for seven years, rapidly climbing the ranks and doing everything he can to put as much space between him and his childhood. Being locked tightly in the closet is wearing him down, and seeing his best friend shamelessly flirting with a guy in a bar one night snaps something inside of him.

Will staying in the closet end up pushing Declan’s best friend, and the man he’s loved for most of his life, away for good? Will Ty’s sexy secret be too much for Declan to handle? Or will an on-the-job accident stop everything before it starts?

Coming Home is a best friends-to-lovers, demisexual romance novel, with a sassy man in lingerie and an HEA. Other fetishes and BDSM lifestyles are discussed openly. While Coming Home is the second book in the Finding Home Series, it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel.

Truths

Declan Andrews is a Navy Seal and has just returned from deployment. His first thought on returning home is to find his roommate and longtime friend Ty Scott. Declan and Ty have always been best friends and are almost family considering Ty's family took Declan into their home when he had a falling out with his own as a teenager.

Things seem different between Declan and Ty this time. Their relationship has always been platonic but Declan soon comes to the realization that he has deeper feelings for Ty than just friendship. Declan has only ever dated women so Ty is understandably concerned how Declan will handle coming out to friends and family and if he is moving to fast.

Declan is steadfast and honest even if he has kept a part of himself locked away for most of his life. Ty is loving and a rock to those he cares for. Ty also has a secret kink that drives Declan crazy.

This book is about opening ourselves to the possibilities of love and long held secrets finally voiced out loud. I really enjoyed getting to know Declan and Ty and hearing their story. I also loved the supporting cast from family to friends and co-workers so I will definitely have to check out the rest of the books in this series. While this is a series and this is book 2 I didn't feel hindered in understanding the dynamics of this story or enjoying it, only curious about the other stories. (Colt and Derek and omg Jasper ❤ I've got to know their stories too.)

I enjoyed Bolton Hill's narration of this audiobook.

I received a copy of this audiobook but this is my honest review.

Fantastic Best Friends To Lovers

Carly Marie's Coming Home is the second book in the Finding Home series. It is a contemporary m/m romance with a best friends to lovers theme.

Ty and Declan have been friends for pretty much their whole lives, secretly in love for the last several years. When "straight" Declan comes out to Ty and professes he may be demisexual and in love with him for years, these two decide that falling into a relationship is definitely worth exploring... especially after Ty realizes Declan is drawn to Ty's love of Lace panties. But of course there will be challenges - like Declan getting deployed.

I love Ty and Declan. Ty is comfortable in his body and has a great attitude. Declan is great and I love how he is full in when it comes to being with Ty , no more hiding in closet - he embraces it and makes no apologies. Their strong friendship just makes their lovestory stronger and hotter. This story is so sweet and yet sexy. It made me smile and I just enjoyed every moment.

☆ Bolton Hill narrates this story. The characters come to life and the story shines. Great voicework and smooth recording.

Another Great One

I love this series so much! Jasper is so adorable and I know he was scandalized by his brothers in the last book but I can understand not wanting to know that kind of information too. I love how he finally gets the guts to explore his attraction to men and love that he gains so much more. I loved Greg’s patience and acceptance of Jasper and wanting to help him accept himself. I love the friendship they grew and then how they smoothly brought Harrison into their lives too. Harrison and Jasper had been friends, though distant ones for years and Harrison had become the one person that Jasper felt he could lean on. So so good, I can’t get oo much into the story to give it away but it was wonderful.

Now Jasper’s brothers, I loved them in previous books but throughout this one I just felt frustrated with them. All they wanted to do was shock Jasper or ignore his presence and I couldn’t help but feel how hurt Jasper was and how much Greg and Harrison felt for him. I can’t wait for Already Home to see the conclusion of their story.

Bolton Hill did a great job on the narration, I thought the voices he used were perfect for the characters and was glad he did go to the extreme with them as many I have listened to lately have. His reading also didn't run together so it was easy to keep track of the story. This is a book that I read not too long ago so it was nice to just let the story wash over me.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.

Liked this audio, but not my fav from the series

I thought my opinion would change after the audiobook, because it happened before, but sadly not now.

I didn't liked it as much as I wanted to, Ty and Declan are not my favorite from the series, and I don't know why. I just don't know and can't explain why. I missed so much from this book.

The narrator is good, I like Bolton Hill's voice, he does a good job every time.

This wasn't the story i hoped for. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but wasn't perfect either. Something was missing... And the fact that it was 6 years after the first book?! I hated this :( I know, they needed to age up some, but 6 years is a lot ...especially if we meet the characters from the first book too. Many things changed, Colt and Derek got a family with kids...

The story was good, but i felt like i read about nothing. It has 44 chapters, but it felt like only 5-6 was good and important for the storyline. The love between Ty and Declan was cute, but the erotic scenes... hmm not so good, and not enough!

I loved when Colt and Derek were there too, and Ty's whole family too. It was cute that Declan became a Scott family member.

The fact that Declan wasn't gay openly - and he confessed Ty his feelings later - was good, but everything happened so fast and they haven't got any probleme with anyone at all. Everything was too perfect...
The ending was really good, i loved that scene with all the Scott family, and lol Jasper! It was clear at that point that Jasper will be the next book's MC!

So! I loved reading it, but it was too much at some point. I missed the erotic scenes, the hotness and romance. BUT i loved the panties and lace fetish!!!! This was the best in the whole book! All the beautiful and sexy lingerie.

Friends to Lovers / Military Romance

Story: Coming Home is the second in the Finding Home Series by Carly Marie. This book follows Ty and Declan in their friends to lovers relationship. These guys have been best friends since they were five, lived next door to each other growing up, and together during and after college. When Declan’s family turns on him when they are in high school, Ty’s family takes him in and shows him what a true family and love should be. Fast forward some years and both guys are successful in their own fields, still living together, and still super close friends. When Declan gets home from his latest deployment, both know they need to stop keeping secrets from each other but have no idea how to tell each other how they feel. I loved how the author brought them together for that first explosive time! I loved how well thought and realistic these characters were. The story flowed well with just the right amount of angst. Their chemistry was intense right from the beginning, and I enjoyed reading about their friendship over the years and how it changed. It was good to see the family and get caught up with Derek and Colt from the first book (DDlb / age play warning for this part of the story).

Narration: I enjoyed Bolton Hill's narration of this story. I liked that he was able to use more of the SoCal accent that Ty would have likely adopted after living there for many years but kept Declan's almost the same as it would have been in Oklahoma.

I cannot wait to hear Jasper's emotional and eye-opening story done in audio!

Always together

Declan and Ty had a special bond. From childhood they were always together. A strong friendship leads to so much more when Declan finally realizes what's been in front of him all these years and what Ty really means to him.

This was a low angst story, with some kinky scenes, a little bit of drama and a well deserved HEA for these two. It was great checking in with the rest of the Scott family as well.

The narrarion was done well. Each character had their own unique voice and was easily distinguished.

Another wonderful story by Carly Marie, narrated

I loved how Ty and Dec switched almost effortlessly from a life-long friendship into their relationship, once Declan decides to stop hiding he's gay and has been attracted to his best friend for mmost of his life.
This book is so sweet with a bit of naughtiness that just adds the right amount of spice to it!

Friends to lovers

Declan and Ty have been best friends since childhood.
They've also secretly been in love with each other, just never willing to risk their friendship to explore taking the relationship to another level.
There is some heartache as they discover what it means to be together and also from issues Declan has with his family as well as an injury on the job.
Great narration from Bolton Hill.
