Story
Critical thinking can be defined as "finding out how to think better by enhancing one's thinking skills". People who are critical thinkers use the thinking procedure to evaluate, consider, reflect on, and piece together what they have learned or are currently learning. Unfortunately, much of everybody's thinking tends to be prejudiced, imprecise, uncertain, uninformed, or even sexist or racist. Since this ends up being significantly limiting, critical thinking is needed to improve its quality and value.

Story
The majority of this book is based on the concept of fallacies. This idea is the notion that people often come up with the wrong reasoning, the wrong conclusions, and the wrong steps in their logic. Since they do this, they often argue about things that completely seem to contradict each other, but they don’t. Many people base their fallacies on emotions, past experiences, biased thoughts, or some other thing that gets in the way of pure, correct, infallible logic.

Dyslexia is a common problem and can be helped and noticed when given the right tools. My aim is to show you those tools. Recognition of the problem is the first step, as is knowing where it came and what the symptoms are. From there, one could tap into programs and exercises that can stimulate the child’s senses and help him/her become better at reading in a shorter time period. This is what it’s all about: To push them into the fast track towards the same capabilities as any other person without the unnecessary frustrations and disappointments so many children experience.

Thinking outside the box means applying existing knowledge in new, unexpected ways to come up with new ideas and solutions. This is an essential skill in today’s fast-changing world. But saying “think outside the box” isn’t enough - you have to be aware of the box before you can think outside it. The scientific name for this imaginary box is “mental model”. Mental models are useful because they help you learn. They help you make sense of new information and attach it to your existing knowledge. But, at the same time, they can limit your thinking.

In In Defense of Troublemakers, psychologist Charlan Nemeth argues that this principle is completely wrong: left unchallenged, the majority opinion is often biased, unoriginal, or false. It leads planes and markets to crash, causes juries to convict innocent people, and can quite literally make people think blue is green. In the name of comity, we embrace stupidity. We can make better decisions by embracing dissent. Dissent forces us to question the status quo, consider more information, and engage in creative decision-making.

In Leadership BS Jeffrey Pfeffer shines a bright light on the leadership industry, showing why it's failing and how it might be remade. He sets the record straight on the oft-made prescriptions for leaders to be honest, authentic, and modest; tell the truth; build trust; and take care of others. By calling BS on so many of the stories and myths of leadership, he gives people a more scientific look at the evidence and better information to guide their careers.

Story
Through her global consulting projects, keynote speeches, and work with thousands of leaders, Karen has seen first-hand how a pervasive lack of clarity strangles business performance and erodes employee engagement. Ambiguity is the corporate default state, a condition so prevalent that “tolerance for ambiguity” has become a clichéd job requirement. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Story
They actually have vastly different styles and backgrounds. Yet despite their differences, great managers share one common trait: They don’t hesitate to break virtually every rule held sacred by conventional wisdom. They don’t believe that, with enough training, a person can achieve anything he sets his mind to. They don’t try to help people overcome their weaknesses. And, yes, they even play favorites. In this longtime management bestseller, Gallup presents the remarkable findings of its massive in-depth study of great managers.

Intriguing
Intriguing audiobook. The premise of the entire book leads to conclusions I hadn't reached before. I was sincerely wowed by this 3.5 hour listen that was both entertaining and informative, in my opinion.

Impressive
The producer must have spent a considerable amount of time on producing this audio book. I don't think the word "incredible" does this specific book justice. There needs to be a better word, and I am going to keep looking, since it deserves something great to be said about it.

One of the best books on the topic
Wow. This was a good book! I was blown away by the professional narration, and it was nice to listen to it. Moreover, I know people who are not critical enough about things, and it hurts society to have so many dummies. Yes, that's a sincere concern of mine.

Yep, liked it
It feels like the author did a fantastic job here. I benefitted from this audiobook. It was an eye-opener. I was wanting to find out more about this issue anyway, so it was no accident that I bumped into this book. I listened to it, and not to my surprise, it was precisely what I was looking for.

Ha! Nice!
I wanted to say a little something about this audiobook, and so I am making the effort to write a consumer review. Such an enjoyable idea. I believe I will let my sibling or spouse listen to it. They have to know that there are audio books such as this out there.

Not bad
I liked it. Not bad. A lot of people can learn more from this. Many people I know, are not smart enough to just doubt things, or to be overly suspicious. Both are bad, and a good judgment can help a person come a long way.

Great
Great! This audio book blew my mind, both the material and the storyteller's presentation. The ideas from the author made a lot of sense to me. I agreed with everything, and that's another reason that I am so ecstatic about this audiobook. The author didn't arbitrarily choose little bits and pieces of bad advice, but instead, analyzed the statements enough.

Interesting
It appears as if we are dealing with a pro here. The storyteller's production was to die for. In my opinion, it was just one of those audio books you can not really skip. You can not dismiss it, since it is one of the best on the market. I might become repetitive here, but that's simply how I think about it.

Very good
I liked it so much that I may listen to it again at some point. It's an intriguing idea, the entire premise of this book. You don't generally see that in other books. And that's the reason why it can use an individual like me to compose a couple of positive things about it.
