About this listen

A new trio of siblings learn that it is impossible to be a Goode without being a little wicked....

He’s the man with the Midas touch....

Elijah Wolfe is just as ruthless and aggressive as his name suggests. Born in the harsh Nevada desert, he used his sharp wits and sharper fists to fight for survival, mining ore for terrible men.

Until one day, he struck gold—literally. Despite his unimaginable wealth, his heart is empty of trust and his world is full of enemies. He’s come to England searching for a priceless treasure once stolen from him and is prepared to ruin anyone who gets in his way.

She’s a thief with a heart of gold....

Rosaline Goode’s callous father left her nothing but a legacy of shame. Instead of worrying about the women gossiping behind their fans or the cruelty of eligible men, she spends her nights avoiding society and mapping the stars. That is until absurd circumstances find her nearly naked in the home of the famously unscrupulous, lethal American whose name is on everyone's lips.

The promise of plunder....

Succumbing to a shotgun wedding is the worst thing Eli can imagine, but if it is what he must do to get what he wants, then so be it. Except now, all the arguments he’d made against the marriage are becoming enticements. His new wife is too young. Too small, sheltered, soft, and sensitive for a man forged in the mines and tempered in the desert heat. If theirs is a devil’s bargain, then why does her shy touch take him to heaven?

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5-stars

Loved this story and Loving this entire series by the fabulously talented Kerrigan Byrne. Heartwarming and emotional. Not too long and drawn out which made it especially enjoyable. Stella Hunter’s soft and smoothly sensual tone blends perfectly with the force of JFHarding’s strong, sexy, and so masculine tone of voice. Kerrigan Byrne for Historical Romance is a favorite.

This is a good one

Humor, humanity, and romance and finally an American accent that was not or did not sound fake

Best of the series

J.F.Harding….more please! Enjoyed this book so much and the narration made it even better. If you enjoyed the rough American in England and the British woman he falls in love with you’ll enjoy The Marquess by Patricia Rice. I did anyway. This story hit a similar vibe for me. Worth a credit!

Oh my, A Perfect addition to the Goode Girls!

Words fail me to express the absolute beauty and enchantment of this story! When I reached Book 7 of ‘Victorian Rebels’ by the matchless Ms Byrne, I was over the moon to discover that it was not actually the end of that awesome series, but ‘flowed’ into the marvellous Series of ‘Goode Girls’. Although not essential, I would suggest listening/reading ‘Victorian Rebels’ first, because you’ll meet some of the dynamic and beloved characters in ‘Goode Girls’ that will just enhance the pleasure of your reading experience.

Crying Wolfe tells the story of the tough, ruthless and slightly broken Elijah Wolfe meeting up with the small, tender hearted and slightly broken Rosaline Goode, and the sparks fly! I fell in love with the H and h and their enchanting story. Narration by Stella Hunter and J. F. Harding was superb and I was spellbound from start to finish. It’s a beautiful 5th addition to this great series.

My only complaint is that it is too short, but I will forgive Kerrigan if I can hear more about Eli and Rosaline in future books.

I highly recommend this book and awards it 5 shining stars all round!

Keep them coming please Kerrigan. 💖😂.

Kerrigan Byrne is my go to!

My only complaint was that it wasn't longer. I loved both performances! Whenever I need a good historical romance with complex characters I just need to pick up one of Kerrigan's books or audiobooks.

K.B. does it again

We can always count on Kerrigan Byrne to write a good story and draw the reader in. This book is no exception. The h was endearing and complex. The H was macho and tender-hearted. Their conflict was a little predictable but quickly resolved. I enjoyed seeing characters from the previous books like Inspector Morley and Dorian Blackwell show up to make brief appearances.

So Romantic

Amazing story with a real twist for a historical novel as the heroine is English but the hero is American.

Love the characters.

I have been reading other reviews and am I the only person in North America to notice what Dorian Blackwell did?

Not so good

I guess because it’s a short story there wasn’t any real character development for the H/h. The constant swearing by the H was a bit of a turn off. I’m not sure why The author portrayed the American as such a foul-mouthed person. Perhaps the author should spend more time around American men. The language added nothing to the story and made it a bit of a hard listen. I always like when characters from previous books make an appearance. I suggest to the author not to write short novellas in a full novel series. A full novel would have been so much better.
