This fourth wall-breaking, three-book collection showcases Jackson's adventures through fantasy realms, comic book universes, and classic space opera settings. Each fast-paced novel allows Jackson to flex his powers, skills, and wits as he exploits the rules, points out the respective genre's flaws, and undermines godly authority to win the day. All the while laughing at the expense of our beloved tropes. Because that is what villains should do, shouldn’t they?

Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

So worth it
I really liked this whole story. This audiobook was great from beginning to the end. I never saw the final twist coming. I guessed wrong at which daughter would be chosen. I guessed wrong at who the traitor was. I got nothing right and I still loved this book.

Andrew Givler just gets better!
The first book was good. The sequel was better. And I can’t wait to see where the story goes in the third. Andrew Givler’s writing is only getting better, and while the first book was a straight shot, this book had a lot of turns and twists that you really don’t believe what’s going on because you’re expecting another twist. It was great!
