The Gothic nightclub is about to welcome a new guest, and this time it is one he can’t control. As for Dominic Draven, the king of all supernatural life, handling just one little mortal named Keira should be no problem for him…right? Wrong! Another great editions to the Dark World
DARK ALPHA’S TEMPTATION is the 9th book of the Reaper series, Which also branches off from the dragon king books. This book follows Dunhan, a Dark Fae that is part of the second groups of Reapers and Kyra a Light Fae who happened to come across the reapers while battling one of you Usaeil’s trackers in the previous book. Kyra is an amazing character. She always sees the good in people and just wants to live her life to the fullest. Her and Dunhan connection to each other is the driving force behind this book. They are very sweet together and seem to be one another’s missing piece.
The story arcs that continue from the previous reaper books as well as the dragon kings. We learn more about the mysterious group “the others” and they make a few assumptions about previously on the answer questions.
This book is wonderful however I do not feel it is a standalone. To really get the full potential of this book and enjoy the experience to the fullest you need to read all of the previous books and some of the Dragon kings. Once again Donna Grant has done an amazing job.

More than a Temptation
This book was received as an ARC from Donna Grant’s ARC Angels, the following opinions and commentary are my own and no way reflect the greater DG Groupie Community. Dark Alpha’s Temptation is a Reaper book, and is a part of the Greater Dark World—Fae, Druids, Warriors and Dragon Kings. This book is a part of series of books and really should not be read as a stand-alone book, long built story arcs are coming to a close.
Kyra is a daring light fae, she is following a Reaper which if she is found out could mean a death sentence. However, she is utterly fascinated with the dark Fae Reaper and can not help herself from following him since he keeps showing up. She hopes he has the answers to what happened to her missing Aunt. Dubhan is on a mission to find Xaneth, but is side tracked by a beautiful light Fae and a symbol from his past. Together they unravel the secrets of the symbol and learn more about their own families, and thus themselves.
This book answers a few story arcs from the Dark King series, however the main question that has been dragging on since the Dark Warrior books has still not been answered. There is enough going on and enough questions answered that you don’t miss the clues about Rhi and her King. If you have questions as to what the “Others” are, and what are they up too… this book is for you. Donna Grant is a wonderful writer and I highly recommend this book and all books from the Dark World.

Fantastic Book!
I really love this book. The story just gets better and better Donna Grant weaves the stories together in such a way that you become part of their world. Victoria McGloven’s narration brings the characters to vivid life and you hate to finish the book because you will have to leave them and their world. I very highly recommend this book.

More to come?
Well I have completed another series, well at least to this point. I assume there is more to come with the ending to this series left hanging.
I have commented previously on Donna and company’s imaginations and I continue to be impressed. Thank you for sharing your magical imaginations with us muggles.
Victoria, you did a really great job with the different characters. Your male parts improved greatly as the series continued. Thank you for all your hard work. I am sure changing voices like that is a true challenge. My children loved it when I changed voices while reading to them but I don’t hold a candle to you. Great job.
I do have one complaint. Couldn’t all of the readers/narrators pronounce the names of the characters the same way. The first narrator of the first series gets to pick the pronunciation. All other readers/narrators have to follow suit. It is difficult to grasp who the character is in the following series if their name keeps changing. For example (written as pronounced not spelled)
Isla to Ila
Phalan to Phelan
Usale to Usile
It would be preferable if the name be pronounced as the country or people of the character/s would pronounce the name. Maybe that would keep the pronunciation of the name/s the same.
With all of this being said thank you all
PS
One of the reasons that I love ❤️ your stories so much is the blessedly few profanities found in them. There aren’t many authors out there that can write a a really great story without, at least, one entire sentence of nothing but profanity. I listened to one story who I swear had an entire paragraph of “f...k”. It was like they needed a certain number of words to complete the story and the “f” word met that quota. Thank you for not walking in those footsteps.

Powerful story
Author Donna Grant never ceases to amaze me with her powerful imagination and descriptive storylines.
In Dark Alpha's Temptation the Reaper Dubhan and Kyra are both fully developed characters with very strong personalities. Each of them is resourceful, use to being in charge and going for what they want. This creates an interesting storyline when circumstances position them to team up to look for Kyra's Aunt and Xaneth. How the Author creates this push and pull between the two of them is believable and handled with finesse.
Kyra's long held secret is finally revealed and Dubhan fears for her life because of it. What I love about Kyra is how sharp her brain is and how she solves things that are unique puzzles. The reader will admire her quick thinking and strength of character no matter what happens to her.
If you want a strong protective man then Dubhan is it. He will do anything to protect those he feels can't protect themselves. Although he comes across standoffish and reserved, he is so deep and complex. He seems to get Kyra and knows what she is thinking which helps him stay ahead or at least close by her as she maneuvers things to find her aunt.
What would a story be without a twist to it. This one has a surprising ending and I know the reader will be shocked and delighted by it. This is a great romance and an even better story that will keep you reading to the end.
This is a 5 STAR

Next story in the incredible Reapers series
Dark Alpha's Temptations is the next book in the incredible Reapers series by Donna Grant. This isn't a stand-alone book, but part of an incredible tale of Fae, Death, Reapers, Druids, Dragons and Dragon Kings. It reads in sync with her Dragon Kings series. If you haven't started either series, I can't recommend them enough.
Kyra is a Fae with a secret. One that could put her very life in danger. She has seen something she wasn't meant to see and now is in search for answers. She has a very strong talent for finding answers.
Dubhan is a Reaper in search of a lost friend of the Reapers.
Together they are unstoppable. Once again Donna Grant has given us a strong independent female lead and swoon-worthy male lead.
Highly recommend this series and the Dragon Kings series.
