Sybella's duty as Death's assassin in 15th-century France forces her return home to the personal hell that she had finally escaped. Love and romance, history and magic, vengeance and salvation converge in this thrilling sequel to Grave Mercy.

Sybella arrives at the convent’s doorstep half mad with grief and despair. Those that serve Death are only too happy to offer her refuge—but at a price. The convent views Sybella, naturally skilled in the arts of both death and seduction, as one of their most dangerous weapons. But those assassin's skills are little comfort when the convent returns her to a life that nearly drove her mad. And while Sybella is a weapon of justice wrought by the god of Death himself, He must give her a reason to live. When she discovers an unexpected ally imprisoned in the dungeons, will a daughter of Death find something other than vengeance to live for?

TW Infanticide and Murder

Amazing as the first of not better. Put the TW’s as the title so you know what you’re getting into but it’s worth it

Incredible voice and accent

I found the voice both incredibly soothing and easy to listen to and along with the accent very skilled at the pronunciation of the names that most would butcher in attempting. Very clear, concise and the different inflections and voices for each character really helps keep track of which character is speaking. Overall incredible performance, will definitely both recommend and listen and enjoy again!

Love This Narrator

I love the original books so much that I've listened to them multiple times but when I saw that there was a different narrator I wanted to give her a chance. I loved it!!!! The narrator made the story even better the 1st set of narrators!!!! they had childlike voices so it sounded like a twelve-year-old was reading it and some times it was a little uncomfortable it hear some of the story with a childs voice instead of older sounding voice. It just made it even better to listen to. So if you listen to the original give these ones a chance because it made the stories better.
