About this listen

The NEW edge-of-your-seat thriller from the bestselling author of THE GUILTY HUSBAND!

Juliana Daniels finally has the life she’s always dreamed of. A loving husband, a career as an attorney, and a cozy apartment in Manhattan to call home.

But when she gets a message from an old college friend, her blood runs cold. Remember me?

ONE DEADLY LIE

Juliana drops her phone as though she’s been scalded. The name Jenny Teller shines out from the screen… but Jenny can’t have sent that message.

Because Jenny is dead.

Juliana’s four college friends, a group of girls who once ruled Westbridge University like campus royalty, have received the same message. They’re the only ones who know the truth about the night Jenny died. It’s a secret they’ve kept buried for thirteen years.

WHO DO YOU TRUST?

With ‘Jenny’ now blackmailing them and threatening to expose their secret, there’s more than Juliana’s marriage on the line…

Someone knows the truth, and they won’t stop until Juliana’s life comes crashing down.

From the USA Today bestselling author of The Guilty Husband, comes an utterly nail-biting thriller that will have you gripped and listening long into the night! Fans of Big Little Lies and Pretty Little Liars will love this novel!

None of the characters are likable. So you're not really invested in the fate of any of them. There are no victims or heroes in this story just a bunch of your typical silly girls that are ok with being followers.

Predictable but it was a decent listen I guess.

A really good depiction of what the years while in college can be like. It’s almost cringeworthy when recalling my own moments that definitely should be left buried. Not exactly to the scale of this book but I think it’s relatable to the feelings of shame or remorse that can occur when you’re young and experiencing life on your own for the first time. The book explores the surface cause and effect of meeting/making new friends and a huge desire to feel accepted and fit in. Character development was excellent. I really enjoyed listening to this book.

Narration was really good as the characters voices clearly projected their meaning, emotion, sarcasm, etc.

Great Story

Above average but predictable, still worth a listen. I’d recommend the book to a friend

Solid B rating

Great little mystery with a group of women characters. It does have the same theme as some previous titles but it is still original. Loved the characters and the ending tied things up nicely.

great

Much of this book focuses on YA themes, including the following: It's been 2 days since our date--why hasn't he called me? How can I get home from this party when I'm drunk as a skunk? I found the characters here shallow and the dramatic conclusion downright silly.

YA would-be thriller
