Story was decent but the narrators ugh

I liked the story fine, I guessed the ending a quarter of the way through. The narrators were so bad they hurt my ears. I won’t listen to another book they narrate ever.

Narrator needs some coaching.

I almost quit reading due to narration, but the book was good and glad I stuck with it. After I got used to the vocal fry voice, the mispronunciation of the frequently used word “says” (pronounced to rhyme with “stays”) almost made me quit again. Other words were also mispronounced, but that was less grating.
The plot was good and the book was entertaining.

More Books Like This One!

A different story for a change. And what a good one it is!
This was refreshing and full of suspense. Was the Husband guilty?? You Must listen to this to find out, and I highly recommend it. I'm glad I took a chance on this book, it was worth it. I wasn't overly impressed with the narration, but it was easy to get past it because the story was really that good.

Good Story Bad Narrator

The story was interesting but the woman narrator was not so good. Her voice as the detective did not suit the character. She made her voice sultry and seductive so it took away from the NY cop she portrayed.

Story was suspenseful and had a good twist.

I liked the story line. It had a good twist at the end. I didn’t like the narrator as much. She made the female police officer sound sultry.

Awful narrator

Very enjoyable book. However the female narrator all but ruined it for me. From how she pronounces words to her unbelievable New York accent was too much for me. It really threw me off. Would of been easy 5 stars but had to knock 1 off due to this assault on my ears.

good story

The story was good. The narration not my favorite. Poor attempt at accents for some characters which carried over to the wrong character a few times. A few words were pronounced incorrectly as well. I wish I had read the book instead of listened to it.

Good Story- Horrible Narrator

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed the story. While it was a bit cliche, it still kept my attention and I ended up finishing it in a few days. Now for the bad... The female narrator was one of the worst I’ve ever heard. The amount of mispronunciation and wrong voice expression that didn’t match the story was numerous and severe. The biggest issue I had was the narrator specifically pronouncing “say” wrong. I cringed every single time and it definitely took away from the story. I’m beyond shocked they would even publish this version. If you are going to listen to this story, you are definitely going to have to get past the horrid female narration.
