About this listen

While caught off-guard by her dad's presence, Krissy never dreamed he'd become the biggest murder suspect in town. But that's exactly what happens when James's boorish agent - a man he allegedly fired just hours earlier - is found cold and lifeless, a still-warm vanilla latte resting by his hand....

With Pine Hills divided over her father's innocence and a fanatical fan keen on locking the author away for safe keeping, Krissy must end the madness and identify the real criminal - even if that means meeting an ex or two along the way. But as her social life becomes increasingly chaotic, Krissy may be caught in a case that's far too hot to handle....

Vanilla lattes are great!

Another murder case that Chrissy gets herself caught up in, and she’s going to investigate with her dear old dad! A great bonding moment, not quite. When dad is being swooned over by Rita and book club gang. Chrissy just needs a break, but it seems she can’t just stay still when there is a killer on the loose. Some things just don’t make sense. Cute story and great book. Love the small town. Hilarious!

Better story pace

So happy there weren’t the usual repetitive and redundant interrogations that make the stories drag.

More fun sleuthing!

The author does a fantastic job of presenting various plots, all with some link to books & coffee! Those are two of my favorite things! Each book in the series is unique yet all with a similar flavor. I also appreciate how he presents the main characters attraction and chemistry with men, without getting in to all the physical stuff. Definitely PG.
