About this listen

Now a major motion picture directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh alongside Gal Gadot.

Beloved detective Hercule Poirot embarks on a journey to Egypt in one of Agatha Christie’s most famous mysteries, narrated by Kenneth Branagh.

The tranquility of a luxury cruise along the Nile was shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway had been shot through the head. She was young, stylish, and beautiful. A girl who had everything . . . until she lost her life.

Hercule Poirot recalled an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: “I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.” Yet under the searing heat of the Egyptian sun, nothing is ever quite what it seems.

A sweeping mystery of love, jealousy, and betrayal, Death on the Nile is one of Christie’s most legendary and timeless works.

this has always been one of my favorite Christie stories and Mr. Branagh did a great job as a consummate actor.

vintage Christie!

Excellent story with a lot of misdirection and surprises along the way. Actually, too many to maintain realism, but it was meant to be a fun little murder story and it is. Narration was over the top.

Very Good mystery story

It's Agatha Christie - possibly one of her most famous novels - really there's not much to be said.
I got this audio for one reason: Kenneth Branagh. It was on special and I'd never read any Christie before, but Kenneth Branagh could read the phone book and I'd listen. Of course it was amazing - accents, voices of different characters, timing - just a pleasure to listen to. That it was a good book was icing on the cake.

Kenneth Branagh ís Brilliant

Even years later, Agatha Christie is still the Queen of Mystery! Kenneth Branagh does a great job bringing the characters to life!

Still the best!

The story itself was gripping, but the performance added a brilliant twist to each and every character. Once I began, I could not stop listening!

Amazingly capturing!!

the narration and voices were good not great but the story and mystery and twist reveal is still the best I've ever heard. Christie sucks you in from the start and doesn't lose you. In fact she delves you deeper and leaves you guessing the whole book. The final pay off is more than worth it as the twist is so absolutely crazy but fits so well. You will be immensely satisfied with this book. 5 stars easy.

My favorite book.
