About this listen

Lucifer Morningstar took everything from me. My memories. My freedom. My powers. Now it’s my turn to take everything from him.

I’ll make alliances with former enemies. I’ll hunt those who betrayed me. And I’ll make my grandfather regret ever learning of my existence.

As Samael prepares for war, I’m learning there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to protect those I love. And this is our chance to free the underworld from Lucifer’s evil.

The underking thinks he can hold me prisoner in his castle. But he’s about to learn why he should have guarded his world from me.

Because I’m going to burn that world down.

Even if I burn with it.

If you like K.F. Breene, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Faith Hunter, Laurell K. Hamilton, Jennifer Estep, Shannon Mayer, Kim Harrison, and Dannika Dark, you’ll love this series. The Deals with Demons world includes the fae, demons, mages, werewolves, witches, and more.

Great Ending!

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this series based on the first couple of books. I was super annoyed with Danika’s judgmental attitude, but between the last book and this one, I have changed my tune. I think she more than made up for it with how hard she fought and the strength it took her to keep fighting and never giving up. I was literally biting my nails over the anticipation of not knowing what the outcome would be and thought it was a perfect ending with laughs and some tears as well. I thought the narrator did an amazing job all on her own with all the different voices. I definitely recommend this series to anyone looking for a paranormal romance with lots of action.

Epic Finale

Amazing finale to an epic series! Often I’ve found a finale and final battle in a series to fall quite flat in comparison to the rest of the story but not with this one. It sucked me in and kept me on the edge of my seat. Will be re-listening to this series again!

Fantastical Finale to an epic series!

I have difficulty finding words to describe how this book spun me around, punched me in the gut, and made me laugh, cry, and scream all within reading AND listening to it.
The finale we have all been waiting for arrived as Danica, Samael, and their allies finally face Lucifer and his minions. Alliances are revealed, new enemies emerge, sacrifices made, and finally triumph of success with an oh so good HEA.
Stacia has weaved human emotions in a way that ensnares you and you like it as you cry and scream, and luvvvv everything you read/listen to.
I keep listening to these books over and over again!
Glad to see Vas is next.
Hurry up Stacia! Give us MOREEE!

What an ending!!!

Man, oh man. Finally. We are finally getting to the climax of this series - what we have been building to with each of the prior books and boy oh boy was it a doozy. I have seriously been flying through these books. The SECOND I finish one, I am already looking for and then starting the next book. It is THAT good.

I will say however, this book was hard for me. I had many, many times that I felt my stomach clenching or discovered that I was holding my breath as Danica snuck through the castle or ESPECIALLY the dungeons. I kept thinking, "are you crazy?" Yep, I know it had to be done, but for some reason, my risk tolerance level decided to curl up in a ball and hide. Weird, I know.

Anyway, lots of things happen in this book. Without going into spoilers, let's just say that most of this book was spent building up the tension, building up the suspense and pretty much just making me crazy :)

This was ANOTHER book that had our two MC's separated without much communication, but it didn't mean that things were not happening. As usual, Danica was her bad**s self, taking chances, making plans and finding ways to convince people to do things that they wouldn't usually do. There was ANOTHER gut punch occurrence (well, actually a couple) that really just knocked the breath out of me But in the scheme of things, I guess things could always have been worse..

The climax, to me, lived up to the hype. That sounds like it might be a no brainer, but I can think of many, many books that when we finally got to the main "whatever" that it left me feeling like, "that's it? Seriously?" THIS climax, did not disappoint.

I LOVED the culmination of all of the relationships, the payoff with the different groups all working together. We finally got to see the effort that Danica and her friends put in to building those bridges, that in the end, paid off. There is so much to say about this final battle, but all I will say was that it was awesome and it had a bit of everything -Suspense, action, drama, betrayal, loss, and most of all joy.

Truly, what more can you ask for?

Bittersweet ending

Ugh!!! this book! I have all kinds of feelings about this book.

The book starts with Danika in hell with Lucifer, and Samael earth side freaking out about it. we soon learn that Danika does not have any knowledge of who or what she is. and no knowledge of Samael. however the bracelet Hanna gave her and the earrings her mom made plus the bond with Samael, Danika starts to notice pretty quickly that something isn't right.

there wasn't many light hearted moments in this book but i did love the dreams. even though Samael was gutted he was determined to help Danika any way he could. he is truly my favorite book boyfriend.

there is a lot happening in this book. however it didn't feel too rushed and it didn't seem to hectic. Stark did a great job of combining all the little things from all the books to make a cohesive ending to an amazing story. i love that even a memory spell couldn't really diminish who Danika is and she was finding allies left and right and truly acting like the queen she is ( the mines).

i am sad to say good bye to Danika and Samael. i know they show up in other peoples stories (Vas, Evies and Kaylas) and I'm glad for that but i will miss them dearly.

In the end this was a fantastic series to read. it wasn't overly heavy and it was entertaining to say the least
