About this listen

“My name is Larkspur, and I am an Elemental.”

My people use the power of the earth to sustain life and defy our enemies. I should be at my father's side as a royal princess. But as a half-breed, bastard child, that isn't going to happen.

Taken away by the last Spirit Walker, I am meant to train with him so that I can finally stop the false mother goddess and her plans to rule both humans and elementals. I am meant to train so that I can meet her on even ground, but training takes time.

Time is not something we have. The world is coming apart at the seams as the humans rain down destruction upon their own kind and the supernatural world. The false mother goddess is hunting down the most powerful elementals to take the last of their power, and through it all, the secrets of who I truly am begin to spill upward.

I must find the strength to stop the mother goddess, and to save our world, but which aspect of my heart will hold me up, and what will it cost me in the end?

Performed by Yasmin Tuazon, Ken Jackson, Niusha Nawab, Holly Adams, Matthew Pauli, Lise Bruneau, Colleen Delany, Anthony Palmini, Bradley Foster Smith, Carolyn Kashner, Chris Stinson, Christopher Walker, Dawn Ursula, Emlyn McFarland, Eva Wilhelm, Joel David Santner, Jonathan Lee Taylor, Julie Hoverson, Laura C. interesting twists

I enjoyed the story, however, I had difficulty understanding the voices of the old spirits.

Loved the series...

Love the dramatised version, it's really fun to listen to but it's a pity that the mother goddess sounds like a cyborg. You can't always hear what she /it says and it is an important part of the conclusion.

This book broke me, surprised me, destroyed me, and oddly put me back together again, but not how I would have ever expected. It has come time for the Destroyer to live up to her name.

I love this world that Shannon Mayer has created. I am so sad the Elemental series is over now, but what a ride it was.

I loved the graphic audiobook version. The story completely came to life as I listened to it and all the narrators did a spectacular job.

LOVE this series!!!

Just finished this last book last night. This series is soooo good. Audible should only do dramatized adaptations, because ugh, you feel all the emotions. I laughed, cried, bit my nails with anxiety and cried again. What a beautiful way to end the series. Highly recommend!!!

multi-voice is difficult to understand

I loved this ending of the series, but the mother goddess voice was difficult for me to decipher. the multiple voice overlay was too strong for me.

Amazing series

I just binge listened to this series (started because it was offered as included with my audible subscription) and it was amazing from start to finish! The story and writing style of Shannon Mayor was a surprising new delight and the dramatization adaptation performances took it to heights that made this series a favorite of mine. Each book was not long compared to the eight and nine hour books I usually listen to yet the character and plot developments were so detailed not one word was waisted on tediously frustrating repetition or unnecessary description or dialogue. I always re-listen to series I fall in love with so I will start listening to book 1 again now.
