Adrielle Pyper knows how to plan a wedding, and she is especially good at pleasing bridezillas. But when her biggest client and best friend is murdered just three days before the wedding, Adri's world falls apart. She moves to the resort town of Sun Valley, Idaho, and starts from scratch. Thanks to Adri's impeccable taste and unique style, she lands two celebrity clients, and her business seems headed for success - that is until someone vandalizes the specialty wedding dresses she imported from overseas. The race is on to uncover a secret hidden within the yards of satin and lace before Adri becomes the next victim.
With a delightful blend of mystery, toe-curling kisses, humor, and spine-tingling thrills, Diamond Rings Are Deadly Things is a romantic suspense novel that will keep you listening long into the night.

Diamond Rings Are Deadly Things was disappointing as it contained obvious stalking and Adrielle (sp?) was am sure businesswoman yet when it came to Dallas' behavior, she was obtuse. Anyone who starts a possible relationship that is that clingy is a warning sign. She ignored that she wasn't into him and kept dating him. She is advised by many to let him go because she wasn't into him, then later blames it on her BFF's words to give her heart a chance to feel something for a man. Plus, when she's with him, she's often thinking about Luke. She wasn't portrayed otherwise to be obtuse, case in evidence, Sylvia.
I was annoyed by the recipes/crafts at the beginning of each chapter. Was that to reach a word count? Including recipes at the end, fine. Then those of us who aren't interested can ignore them.
On the positive side, I enjoyed the other characters who unfortunately didn't get much time. Luke especially because he was shown by actions and words to be a genuine person.
Kirsten Potter's narration did not do it for me. I prefer narrators to give different people different vocals. I think she tried on some, which made it stand out more. That's why I have her 3 stars.
I suggest passing on this as there's a lot that are better to spend your time on.

UPDATED REVIEW:
I really liked the whole thing. I was hesitant to go on with the series because she is one of those people who get involved in stuff over and over, but each time she was" honest" with herself why--she felt she had to for a friend of loved one, she was just being a busybody, she was curious, it made sense, etc. The author didn't make up swallow TSTL behaviour!
And I love how we hear her thought processes. She wavers and second-guesses herself over and over, and we can see how that affects her decisions. We can see that she is not Miss All-Put-Together, but is a human who's had some serious hits and is just going on because that is what one does. I admire her.
It is still steadily paced, as in there are maybe 2 somewhat nail-biting moments, no massive surprises that change the pace. It is a good, easy-read, cozy series. I'd be ok if it ended here after these 3 books, but I'd also be interested to see more IF she continues to have at least somewhat valid reasons-or reasons she truly feels are valid--for getting involved. I can't tell you the number of series I've quit when the person keeps stupidly and selfishly doing stupid stuff in book after book, even when people she supposedly loves and respects tell her to stop, and the author expects us to accept that. This is NOT like that! Yay!
ORIGINAL REVIEW (after reading book 1 only):
Glad I didn’t give up.
This was pretty slow to grab me at the beginning, but I’m glad I stuck with it. I don’t think I’d buy it, but we’ll see after I sample book 2. I can definitely recommend it. Just be prepared for a steady go, even in the “action” parts. Narrator did a good job.
