Insightful for Beginner/Struggling Speakers
I feel this book has tons of great information for someone who is building a speaking business. I've been in a speaking program with just about every tool needed to get booked and paid to speak, but this book "Do it Speaking" has a lot if the same information just said differently and even adds some more details in certain places or with a different twist. These critical details clicked with me in this book, like a bunch of AH HUH moments like how to Google search a specific trend or issue within the industry your in. Not that I didn't know some of this, but this book is easy to understand with a great pace of information laid out.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in being a professional speaker.

packed full of insider tips
I don't normally review books here on Audible, but I had to review this one because it really stood out. I love that it was packed full of. Actual tips and information that somebody who isn't a professional speaker would consider Insider information.
As a professional looking to get into speaking, I found this book to be one of my favorite business books of 2020 so far.
I wish more books cut the fluff and delivered valuable content like this one did.

Speaking is a great way for accountants too grow
I own a CPA firm that provides strategic advisory services in addition to tax and accounting. Do It! Speaking is a great step-by-step guide to marketing and speaking. David’s book is a goldmine of tips, tactics, strategies and marketing ideas useful for accountants and other professional advisors who want to use workshops and other speaking gigs to expand their advisory services. Page 57 – “When you’re an expert, speaking is just one avenue of revenue open to you. Speakers create signature workshops as an added stream of income.” In my experience, speaking is a great way for potential clients to experience what it is like to work with you as an advisor. I have taken several of David’s programs, attended his summits, and hired him as a coach. He always shares valuable insights that have helped me in many areas of my business. I love the audible version of Do It! Speaking. It’s gets me through my treadmill workout.

A must-read for any speaker, experienced or new
David Newman lays out so many great ideas in this book that no matter whether you are a new speaker or a seasoned, experienced speaker like myself, there are nuggets in every chapter. If you want some new ideas to help take your speaking career to places it’s never been, read – this - book!
