More a walk than a run

Perhaps it's my copy but the sound was warbled on this audiobook, which is disappointing. The idea of the story was interesting but there's not as much action or danger as other stories in the range such as Sting of the Zygons or Nightmare of Black Island.

Good narration! But the writing: zzzz.

Would you try another book from Martin Day and/or Adjoa Andoh?

This was my first Dr Who novel. It will be my last. I know the Dr has millions of adoring fans - I guess I am just missing something. On the other hand, good narration. In fact, I bought this Dr Who because Adjoa Andoh is the narrator. But even her great reading couldn't save this dull fluff.

What was most disappointing about Martin Day’s story?

I read a lot of science fiction, and I expect at least a little, well, science in it. Or at least a reasonable attempt to fake it. This doesn't have that, so either this was just a weak outing for the Dr., or I shouldn't have expected it from Dr. Who . As I said, this was my first Dr. Who.

Below average story

Wrong performer for a Dr Who. She was very level and the humor was washed out.
Story was below average.
