About this listen

Annabelle Taylor has been in her ideal relationship with an adoring partner for 13 years. Davis Chandler is jaded from years of bad luck with women, but she thinks she's finally started dating the girl of her dreams. The only problem is they're both in love with the same woman. Nic McCoy is living a double life that is about to come crashing down on all of them.

All three women are left trying to rebuild their lives in the wake of shocking realizations that leave them second-guessing everything about themselves and each other. As they struggle toward recovery, they each face life-altering questions about trust, redemption, and the possibility of finding love in the wake of betrayal.

seeing all 3 points of these women was kind of an eye opener. the narrator definitely wasn't as bad as some but sometimes it the same tone was used for all 2 of the 3 main characters, not to mention the support characters

the story is definitely unique.

Great character development, story was written so well that I fully bought into the unlikely match. I'm so glad that we got to see the antagonist through her journey too.

This was so surprisingly good

This book left me very unsettled. it was not your typical Rachel Spangler romance. I found the story line to be dark and depressing.

not your typical lesbian romance

This book is well written. The characters are well developed. The story flows the way a story should, though often times in ways that are far less than comfortable. Infidelity is always a charged issue. Cheaters are rarely portrayed as complex, conflicted or, dare I say it, caring. Victims are rarely portrayed as having issues that might have led them to becoming the victim in this particular circumstance. Know that there is no victim bashing in this book and that the blame still falls on the shoulders of the "cheater" but this book opens the view box a little wider to see a clearer picture of how things like this happen. It also shows how things can heal...one character working on healing in a realistic way, the other two on the path that romance novels lead you on.

Over a decade old and still one of the best sapphic romance stories that deals with infidelity. I had this on ebook and I’m glad I took the chance to get it on audio. It was well narrated and a whole new experience.

Still holds up!
