Publisher's summary

When I open my eyes, I see my sister’s pillows are still plump on the bed next to mine, her striped blanket still straight. With cold trickling down my spine, I jump up and open the closet. Her clothes are gone....

Eleven years ago, my sister Lola vanished from my aunt’s cottage. Now I’m back for the first time, still trying to understand why she ran away. As I go through the house, my mind fills with memories. I should have taken better care of her. If I had, she might have trusted me.

What did I miss that summer? What secrets was she keeping?

I pore over the photos I took, searching for answers. Lola was so angry, so secretive—laughing with her new friends on the beach but refusing to meet my eyes.

Then, a body is discovered hidden in a cave below the cliffs where I walked that summer. No one knows how long it’s been there, and I am forced to ask: Did Lola run away at all?

The police won’t tell me anything. But then, I come home to find my front door open, my bed made, and my camera missing. Who is watching me?

I won’t stop until I know what happened, but am I ready to face the truth about my family?

And if I learn what happened to Lola, will I be in danger too?

From the first line to the last shocking twist, you won’t be able to stop listening to this heart-poundingly gripping thriller by best-selling author Rachel Abbott. Fans of Gone Girl, The Woman in the Window, and Ruth Ware will love Don’t Look Away.

Slow Burn

I am big fan of Rachel Abbott but, this book is a big disappointment. it's like watching paint dry. I am struggling to finish it. it just goes on and on with no real plot twist. I feel like I wasted 10 hours of my life.

British! Brilliant! Abbott never disappoints.

I wanted to extend my anticipation and excitement, so before I started this, I listened to “The Invitation” a second time and thoroughly enjoyed it. As I’ve said before, I prefer British thrillers and Rachel Abbott is one of the first authors that led to this audiction. The third in the Stephanie King series, “Don’t Look Away,” Abbott weaves another suspenseful detective murder case, complete with precise narration by the brilliant Olivia Vinall. Centering on a family’s two sisters, we are taken on an intricate journey while one searches for her missing sister. Subplots galore including family secrets, lies, surprises and so much more are brought to the forefront with a gripping ending. Brilliant Detective Stephanie King and her team have quite a much anticipated tangled mystery to unravel and they do with expertise. A curtsey to both Rachel and Olivia for this masterpiece. Highly recommended with 🍒🍒🍒 on top. Worth a treasured credit as I scream out my window,“Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”

Not my favorite

I am a fan of Rachel Abbott, she is one of my favorite authors and I have and love all her books. That is, with the exception of this one. I found the main character so annoying and couldn't even finish the book. I assume her next one is going to be great again
