The men of Haven: fierce passion, unyielding loyalty. Especially when it comes to their women.
A powerful man.
Axel McKee abandoned his musical career years ago in favor of becoming a power player on the music scene. His dreams of the spotlight are over - and he’s better off for it. Working with his Haven brothers and building their empire is enough for him.
One who commanded attention with nothing more than a look.
And then came Lizzy. A dynamic, beautiful powerhouse of a performer unlike any he’s seen or heard before. Her presence leaps off stage and into the heart of anyone who watches her sing. Axel wants her. Wants to help her and collaborate with her.... But more than anything, he wants to be with her.
And every ounce of his attention was locked on her.
Two things are immediately obvious: Lizzy’s been burned before, and earning her trust will be Axel’s biggest challenge yet. If he can get this fierce, stubborn, talented woman to see the passion and care that he’s offering, he might get a chance at a new dream - sharing the spotlight with the woman he loves.

Narrator: John Lane is always a pleasure to listen to, he covers the voices and accents perfectly and with seeming ease.
Personal feelings: Axel finally finds his woman and got his happily ever after and the journey was as delightful and as wonderful and complete as I'd hoped it would be, so thank you both for doing him justice
Another winner!!

I was so looking forward to Axel’s story, but honestly, it just wasn’t as good as the previous books. The story was pretty dang flat. Overall, I have really enjoyed this series and I’ll keep this book so that I have the entire series, but honestly, this book was just a so so listen.
🌻Rather anticlimatic!🌻

“That’s it Elizabeth, take what I give you!”
Until now, Axel has been a sexy, flirtatious, grab life by the horns kinda guy; in this book, he spends the first half of the story slowly, gently grooming his target. Yes. I said groom. Because Lizzy is written and narrated like a child star: she’s been managed all her life, right down to being told what to wear, for the sake of getting rich with a particular rock star image. Which made him calling her “Pet” and deciding from go that she’s his just all sorts of ick.
“You belong to me Elizabeth; feel it …”
Things get even worse when the sex comes. Halfway through the book, Axel goes full on Daddy Bondage, threatening spankings, controlling her, having her wear pink, and going bare … because he doesn’t want anything between him and what’s his.
The series formulas grated too. The author’s fixation with morning breath was amusing … until here, where it was the last straw that broke me. Whenever a guy goes dom between the sheets, it’s red, yellow, green safewords … but of course she loves it. Maybe it’s me, but wouldn’t most women hesitate when he talks about ball gags and ropes during their first time? And the Haven Club? It felt like found family until this book, when it felt like a cult where the little women are isolated from the world and then owned by the men, who collectively vote on which child bride to bring into the fold. Nope. I’m out.
Anyone else getting kiddie sex vibes?
