Publisher's summary

Now Charles Martin’s Awakening series, The Dead Don’t Dance and Maggie, are available as a 2-in-1 audiobook!

The Dead Don't Dance

In a sleepy rural town in South Carolina, Dylan and Maggie Styles are a young couple in love, preparing eagerly for the birth of their first son. But events take a tragic turn in the delivery room, and their child is delivered stillborn. When Maggie hemorrhages and slips into a coma, Dylan slips into what can only be described as a walking coma, holding vigil at his beloved wife’s bedside. Through friends and grace-filled moments of insight, Dylan slowly begins to heal, but it will take a second tragedy—and an anxious period of wrestling with God—to truly awaken him from his stupor and open him up to a new life.

Maggie

After slipping into a four-months-long coma following the tragic loss of their son in childbirth, Dylan’s wife, Maggie, finally awakens—but can the young couple pick up the broken pieces of their lives and move forward? In this poignant love story that is redolent with Southern atmosphere, Dylan and Maggie must come to terms with their past before they can embrace their future.

My new favorite author & narrator!

Excellent story, easy to listen to because of the author’s story and the narrator’s voice….and perfect inflections for the different characters. Kudos!

Struggle with faith

Another great Charles Martin read. I yet to guess his ending place. Looking for another of his books.

Life is not easy

I listened with hope as the characters dealt with blows to their lives. The characters in the books had problems that build strength as long as you persevere. Personally I would have leaned more to the help of God than the main character did, but in the end it was worth listening to the books.

Spell Binding

No one, absolutely no one, writes like Charles Martin. He has a God-given gift to tell a story ans weave it as only He can. I hate I fid not find out about his work until a few years ago. What a treasure. Hate you can only give 5 stars!

CHARLES MARTIN!!! AWESOMENESS!!!

I love the way he can just tell a story and it's like liquid running over my heart. The first time I read him was THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US. Holy cow! I cried no I sobbed. There has never been another book effect me that way. Since then he has been my FAVORITE.

A story of loss and love but most of all hope.

I really liked the way the story carried you through the murky waters of life then to a blooming white field of love and hope.

love this author

not sure why some reviews were negative, especially from those who like Charles Martin.
I really love his work, these stories included.
stories moved fwd well, interesting outcomes, a bit sappy at times but not in a bad way.
narrators : Jonathan Riggs did first one, he's great, 5 star. Adam Vernor did the second, good but not as great as Riggs.
thank you team

Great story with wonderful characters!

Greatly enjoyed the author as narrator in first book, but the second narrator did not deliver with the same energy.
