About this listen

Despite all odds, Lilith has gained acceptance from two heroines who should hate and fear her very existence.

Gina and Rachel have agreed to help Lilith's attempt to get the death sentence on her head rescinded, but they have to work carefully. Their time runs short, though. Doctor Johnson's plots advance, and other villains are infiltrating San Francisco.

In the end, the question becomes what to do when Lilith's identity is discovered, and all hell breaks loose. Despite the risk of death bearing down on her, Lilith decides that she's tired of simply running away.

Brainwashed or as i called it mind slavery

the storie over all is exiting but i have difficulty hearing, reading, or even thinking about brainwashing scenes or experiences. It is a cruel thing. i almost don't finish the book for that cause the type of brainwashe describe in this and first book are as i considered it as class 2 and 3.

Explanation:
class1 is a simple method jet dificult to pull off it simply involved talking and monitoring the subject and learning the triggers for the personality to change.
class 2 is a bit complicated but faster and very harmful for the subject that involved torture either physical or spicological and the addition of triggers.
class 3 is more fictional but theoretically possible, the human brain is complicated so it may be possible as a side effect but it is more about the way the subject experience it just like the first book of this series. Unable to disobey that who the subject believes rules over them at the same time being conscious of there situation.
Finally class 4 or as i call it (i hate love you) this is more of a fantasy fiction realm. Maybe is possible but i doubt it unless the Stockholm syndrome become a key ingredient to this type of brainwashe. It just like class 3 but with the feeling of free will being strip completely away from the subject and manipulating there emotion to love the rulers of there enslave lives all of this while being totally conscious of what really happening. The subject would feel love and respect for there violator at the same time with there real feelings being usually hate, fear, shame, etc. it is in my opinion very cruel way of existence.
With that explanation the rest of the readers should now know how horrible brainwashing really is. I just hope i dont have to read anything about class 4 in the future it gets me emotionally exhausting.

Good addition

They talk entirely too much before fighting. that the problem with most villians but heroes are killing me with getting into the act. They take more abuse when the stand and listen. Other then that it was a good installment

Better than I thought it would be!

You might want to read the first book but it's not necessary. This book stands alone.

Enjoyable but as a romance it misses

the story played well and the narrator did great with voicing.
My biggest complaints with Medrano's writing is that, while the characters are lesbian or bi, and freely admit to it in dialogue, we as readers get told not shown. the physical contact is quite chaste, a quick peck on the lips or cheek, letting someone lay against the MC. It's okay to let readers see what's going on behind closed doors. it's okay to show actual romance between characters instead of a quick kiss or side hug. some heart to heart conversations, them having fun together, or special moments when the characters realize they love one another.
