Good character voices!

I had to read this book for my English 102 course... It was terrible to start with but got better once the action started... Bummed the audio version left out mina's scene with Dracula. But the best part was all the voices...

Absolutely Timeless!!

I have read this book countless times! I have listened to this audible twice as many and in all honesty this is the best! So much more than a horror story, or a love story, it is a story of friendship, sacrifice, honor, and courage. A story of humans standing together come what may!

Story's a bit dated.

well written but a bit dated. The ending was more about the "good guys" than the character with their name on the book.

Section missing!

I loved this book, and the audio was great, but there is a very important scene missing from the audiobook that made other parts confusing. The end of chapter 21 is completely left off. Please rectify this!

A classic novel

The narration is very good however there were a handful of times when accents of characters bled into one another. I won't fault the narrator too much here as overall his performance was fantastic. The original horror novel and a great rendition.

Terrible recording!

While the story is a classic this recording is awful. Each sentence sounds like it was individually recorded and then splice together later. It sounds so choppy. Also at one point you can hear a phone ring in the background. This recording is an embarrassment.

Great Book

A wonderful story worth reading. An unfortunately poor reading with inconsistent and sometimes confounded character voices and odd intonations. His reading is disruptive and confusing - not pleasant to listen to.

Great book but almost too descriptive

Would you consider the audio edition of Dracula to be better than the print version?

Yes, due to how descriptive it is.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Johnathon. It starts you off with a good scare.

What does Peter Batchelor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice is very calm and nice for it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Johnathon's acceptance of his death. He knew it was happening and couldn't do anything to stop it.

oh so much blood!

this book is a tough read. i read about half before i gave up. thankfully i was able to hear this audio production. still i found it to be somewhat difficult to follow in some parts. maybe the abridged version fixed these dragged out parts. but all in all i was able to get a decent picture of the tale in my mind. all i could think of though while listening was the brilliant mind of Mel Brooks twisting the spooky tale into a comedic romp.
