It's a great start to a series by new to me authors! I liked all the world building and how it wasn't to prose-y during the descriptions, and it flowed quite nicely with the story. I liked the different clans in the stories and the names they were given. I'm not going to attempt to spell them, but I liked the mythos behind it all.
Thea was an interesting character and a bit of a loner. I loved her growth throughout the story! I hope it continues in the next one! She had confidence, but wasn't cocky. Though at times help would have been nice, but she just wasn't good at asking for it because she didn't want others to get hurt. My one issue is that she tended to blame herself for things that weren't her fault; it's something I've not particularly liked when characters did that, so I might have rolled my eyes a little, but it didn't detract from her being a likable character to me.
Marcus was more mysterious, but he has his reasons for that. He had this almost sunshiny personality to Thea's kind of grumpy one, so I really liked their dynamic together.
The mystery was pretty cool, too, and it definitely builds to the next book. Though, have no fear: it does not end on a cliff hanger, but you'll definitely want your hands on the next one!

There is violence and swearing in the story.

I loved the narrator! I thought she did a really great job with all of the voices and making each character have their own voice and really giving personality to everyone! I hope she continues to narrate the series!.

Outstanding story and I loved the characters and their interactions. This was my first book by Molly and I really thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the second book in the series.

I really enjoyed this as the first book in a new series by one of my favorite authors. She creates strong lead characters who are relatable as they have family drama and baggage, self doubt and imperfections but they rise above it all to create a trusted circle of friends who help in their battle to right a wrong or fight an evil force. Shifters, dragons, and badassery woven together to draw you in and entertain and can't wait for more!

This book starts out with the Vampire Hunter Thea doing her thing to help keep humans safe. She was trained by her father, but when she discovers he is not the person she thought, she parts ways and takes ownership of her life. I also enjoyed the cat Shea who keeps popping up.
Narrator does a Great job with Voices and the entire storyline.

I was willing to listen to the story to the end. It was interesting enough to keep me entertained, and even maybe willing to listen to the rest of the series. I’m not too sure about the main characters. They were OK but the tale itself was interesting. The narrator did a good job of performing the story, changing voices when needed.

This is a new type of vampire hunter. A powerful angel that is not doing what the rest of the family does but she goes and hunts vampires. But not just any vampire hunter, she is for hire hunter and investigator with the local police. She gets a job that she thought she was going after a werewolf but nope. She finds herself trapped from a bartender dragon, who she never met a dragon before. This dragon cannot be affected by this angels magic.

I just loved this story. Such great characters and amazing world building. Thea is a freelance monster hunter. Her father trained her to be strong and tough so she could take over the shifter clan. After she saw her fathers true colors that idea went out the window. Thea was hunting a werewolf who had committed a murder. She discovered it was not a werewolf but a vampire who was the culprit. She wanted to know who framed the wolf named Marcus. As she got to know Marcus she discovered that he was actually a target and she wanted to keep him alive and discover his secrets. Their journey together to find answers was full of twists and danger. A great story.

I received this as an ARC for my honest opinion and I honestly loved it. I would definitely recommend that you read book. Thea is an Arcanskin that is next in line to take over her father’s empire when she finds out what it really means to be a Grove and because of that she decide to estrange herself from her family. No longer tied to her family bank account Thea decides to start her own business as a bounty hunter where she works with the police sometimes and takes on private clients on occasions. It’s here where our story picks up. A new client (Thomas) who is fearing for his life asks Thea to kill the werewolf (Marcus) who is terrorizing him. Well Thea isn't a murderer but she is someone with very deadly skills and she doesn’t like being asked to kill the werewolf she takes case still. When Thea tracks Marcus down things are clearly not what she expected. To start of Marcus isn’t a werewolf at all he’s a Dragonskin and as the more dig that she does the more he looks like the victim instead of the criminal. So now that Thea has figured out who Marcus really is can she work with him to save his life or will whoever is after him succeed in killing him. I guess you will have to read Dragon Heir to find out.

I very much enjoyed this paranormal book. it was gripping with lots of twists and turns. it was well written with great flow and endearing characters. Victoria Connolly provided the excellent narration. I highly recommend this book.
