Continuation of Menoly and Pimur

Great descriptions of the world of Pern. McCaffery keeps the same characters from each book.

Poor audio quality

A good book, with satisfactory performance. Poor audio quality, though. Muffled and scratchy - disappointing.

Bad recording.

This recording of the book has bad sound to it for some reason. Understandable, but it sounds like an old AM radio station.

Great book!

I don't normally like abridgements, but this was really well done. This story follows Piemur, a young apprentice of the Harper hall. I love the way Anne McCaffrey interweaves her stories. They are very good even if you have never read her books before, but as you read her books, you get pulled into the lives of the characters and when you find a character you had read about earlier in a new book, it is like meeting an old friend.

Not bad for a condensed version.

I only got this version for Adrienne Barbeau as performer. I bought the full version for the Writer, whom I really miss. I cannot express the shear joy she has brought into my life with all of her books and short stories. Now I have to start the complete book on Audible.

Story great, recording poor

Always enjoy and McCaffrey's books but the quality of this recording was not very good when compared to all the others of the Harper Hall trilogy. needs to be redone.

Audio

The audio on this book is awful muffled and unclear . The worst part is I can’t return it.

Dragondrums

It has been years since i read this book... as is i remember a part where they built message drums for the southern hold that has been omitted from this audio version, or my device skipped it. I had some issues with sound cutting out in places

poor audio quality

the narration itself is good, if a bit rushed at times. the audio quality is poor though, it sounds washed out.
