Publisher's summary

Zach is prepping for his wedding, but our favorite dragon king can’t sit still during wedding preparations, and when Maeva asks for his help to delve into the Fae Wilds to save her mother, he’s more than happy to get out of wedding planning.

The fae wilds are a twisting world of lost and ancient creatures. Some far older than Zach could imagine. Zach is in for a surprise when they discover a village of dragons that just might hold a key to his past.

But he’ll have to navigate the wilds and avoid creatures so large that even the dragon king looks like a tasty snack. Good thing he and his mates are up for the challenge.

I love this series!!!

Women to wed and bed.
Beautiful are the Fae, what can he say?
Jessica Threet is the Queen of Heat!

Okay, yeah, I’m bad at rhyming but I couldn’t resist! This book had so many surprises and met other things that have been long expected. Besides the obvious wedding which was done very well and didn’t take up too much of the book. I love those special moments really hit you in the feels! Sentar nailed it with writing them in such a way that it hits you. Then you have Jack Douglas and the Queen of Heat, Jessica Threet, who do a specnominal job breathing life into those words and true characters! I love this series!

Besides the wedding we get a front row seats to an adventure in the Fae wilds where Sentar drops some MAJOR bombs on us! Such as a long lost village of dragons with a few of the Reds which were feared to be lost! And these dragons have had the fortune of being in a VERY mana rich ecosystem for all of their lives. Imagine how that would affect dragons over the decades, centuries and maybe even a millennia…? There are also “others” hidden in the deep Wilds. Those forgotten or mitigated to myths and legends…

Zach finds out that there are some “weavers” hidden who are spinning threads that will affect even humanity itself…
We get to be there with Zach as some questions are finally answered for him, only for more disturbing questions to arise.
Zach’s harem is going to grow even more… how will he be able to give them all the attention they need…?

I’m looking forward to reading the next book right after this! I’ll have to wait for the audio… but I’m excited to get to hear and experience another amazing performance by our narrating duo of Douglas and Threet!

More dragon's justice

This book felt like it was a lot of setting up future installments, bringing closure to a few loose ends, and introducing another faction thought lost. It was all done in a way that felt actually interesting and enjoyable as opposed to a chore.

very happy with it as a whole.

first is the narration, they are so good. In a lot of stories with more adult fun themes, the adult fun in my experience tends to bog down the story quite a bit, but with this, the author has found a good ratio, of course if you're more of a bigger fan of a certain girl/s over others, you might not be exactly pleased, but the author does find a balance between pound town and story. In my opinion that makes up for which ladies take center stage in this book.

As far as the negative opinions, I'll say that in this book, he finds out he is a small fry to other forces out there, and unlike a lot of fights he's had so far, I think he his learning that he will need more brains in many fights over brawn. He finds out a few times that he can be overpowered, and needs to approach things more diplomatically. If you were paying attention to the previous books involving the fae you'll see that words, and how they are interpreted are just as deadly/helpful in this installment.

Giving it 5 stars with a small complaint

I have no idea why but this felt a bit rushed and even though it’s about the same as all the rest it just felt like there needed to be more “in-between” if that makes sense? Bruce addressed the rushed wedding at the end but it would have been amazing to see each of the First 8 lucky ladies truly represented. That being said. Love the story, series, character depth, and the way things are coming together. Obviously the end is being set up for a big bad but to me that’s just all apart of the setting.

Fun and satisfying

This continues to be a great series, and I am so glad that Bruce is letting us enjoy these great characters and worlds far beyond the limits of a trilogy.
As usual, the banter is fun and believable, and as important to the flow as the action. Seeing Helena's emotional walls slowly being chipped away is great. I'm hoping she'll let them crumble soon.
I thought Zack should have given the dragoness hunters a little more of a run for their money (since he was trained by Morgana), and oddly he seems to forget he has magic (invocus, contigo) at one point. Overall, it's pretty tight, though.
I appreciated the hookups between new and established partners, they were more about the emotional connections with less gratuitous anatomy details. I enjoy that a bit more. They were hot, though, don't get me wrong on that.
As usual, Jack was very good and Jessica was incredible. They really make the characters live.
