Publisher's summary

Dragon’s Envoy David Slinger, Em, and their friends continue to face new challenges and opportunities. But with new opportunities, old rivals and animosities return. They must also remain vigilant to the growing threat of the dark priests and their thirst for power. It seems very few can be trusted, as everyone has their own agenda.

As Slinger’s and Em’s power and influence grow, so does their list of enemies. The dark priests have taken a personal interest in them. The dark priests’ influence and power are on the rise. When they draw first blood, Slinger and Em take a personal interest in their misery, vowing to visit retribution upon them. But have they underestimated the dark priests’ strength? Slinger and Em need to gather allies to meet the threat, as it seems not even kings are safe from their reach. As they meet each new threat, Slinger grows toward becoming a Dragon’s Mage.

BEST OF HADDOCK'S TO DATE!!!

One must simply have booth Audibles in this series. In my opinion, this is the best fantasy series yet to be released to date from James Haddock.
James Haddock and Gus James really click as a writing team. The two authors have given this series a polished and professional finish. Still leaving a possibility for book number three.
What really makes this Audible release great are the narrators. Daniel Wisniewski and Elizabeth Plant both did marvelous work on the voices and character development. Simply stated, a five star performance.

I couldn’t stop listening.

Really enjoyed this story. Wouldn’t it be fun to levitate, go through walls, and do all the fun stuff that Mages do?

Book 3 and 4 ?

loved this book. Hopefully there is a third one soon. I'd like to see them build the kingdom, meet other envoys, and have children. Once their children and old and have seen two or three generations......leave for other worlds. that would be cool 😎

Good follow up

Another excellent story, though, as I have pointed out in another reviews it is somewhat repetitive from his other books, but it’s still a good story.

Good but requires more thoughtful organizing and world building

For the most part, this is another fairly good book from the author. Every book so far that i have read of his usually has an overpowered MC. And I don’t necessarily have a problem with it. That said, this is the only series I have seen or listened to by him. As such author should have put much more emphasis into character development and would building. Could have let the character build his power more gradually. Instead as soon as he gets magic he can defeat any foe and has all the answers. Also as he is supposed to be carrying around a baby dragon inside him. If this is the case, why does the dragon know everything and how to perform all the spells. If it a racial memory it needs more explanation. Also its odd that he can use magic in every element. To close, even if there are some things that should have been thought out more, its a good series so far. I think the author should make doing series a permanent change. At least a minimum of 2. Many of his books are good and should have been expanded. They were good and to short.

A bit too good to be true

The story line seemed to be too good to be true. Main character didn't really fight dark mages, except one. No reallness - hay there's a dark mage he dead now. all the dark mages cannot be that terrible.
